Indeed. Let's plot about it in the coffee shop. I honestly cannot remember what we were talking about here, but I know that plotting to drug Mr. A with Green Stuff(TM) wasn't it.

Luck with getting him out of the void.
Hey, Mr. A? If we left a laptop at the meeting place, would you be interested in attending the meet?

Why not just flat out ask her? I could do it by laying some groundwork first.

Because she'd flip if doctor-patient confidentiality was breached. As others have pointed out, she likes me, so I don't want her to flip on me.

I'm pretty sure she requested we don't ask for details at some point.

That's why I said use a throwaway e-mail, a proxy server, and another name. Try starting a convo claiming you are in Boston and be like, "Hey, that sounds like this guy I know called Benjamin Barker". Even if it falls through and she gets mad the fake name ought to protect you fine.

I'm mostly an outsider on ther thread of events... So, it does not matter if she goes ballistic on
me... I'm also the one who got the top curse form the Witch in for trying to get her mad enough to reveal something. =P

How's this; act like you know him and that he had gone missing. You recognised him from the blog descriptions and your concerned about him.

Nice one. *Is very impressed* However, I dunno if it will stand if the GMs decide to meta-game after reading this thread.

She's looking for info on the patient. If it's him, the only way out would be to lie, which I don't think the GMs would do. (I hope your reading this GMs. I'm trusting you).

The GMs probably won't meta-game, it's cheap and unfair. However, you'll have a hard time holding up that story about knowing him personally.

If we're right we should know enough about the character to answer any questions she has.

True. Well, I know nothing about him regardless, so I'll have to pass this time.

Seed planted.
I didn't ask if her patient is Barker, but rather said that I'm looking for a firend called Benjamin Barker that fits her descriptions and if she could have him contact me if he's the same... Well... wait and see.

New post to draw atention. But it's just a update.
As predicted, the attempt to drop the name "Benjamin Barker" to the therapist failed. She didn't shoot me, so I guess it's all good.

It's him. It's got to be, otherwise she could just say "it's not your friend, sorry".

The issue isn't that we don't know, it's that we need them to SAY it. With our current level of information on the subject, we have reached the point at which the probability of a miscalculation is so tiny that it's perfectly safe to begin planning assuming that we are right. However, to get them to say it somehow is the last boost we need to have everything in place, rename the forum section, and sit down to start figuring out how to deal with Todd.

This comes pretty close to confirmin it though. She might not be allowed to say who it is but surely she can say who it's not.
