Read the last post. He claims to have been born in London. Moreover, the therapist seems to imply that he was in London until he arrived in this world with that whole, "how he got to the US" section. So yea, a dead end, I'm afraid.

Subject A is entirely too bold. Winston was exposed to the most soul-crushing treatment his author could concoct and ultimately brainwashed into loving Big Brother. Shortly thereafter, he was killed. So that's a slight problem.

Also, if you assume he was extracted prior to his torture, he certainly would have the will to resist, but he wouldn't fit the "betrayed by someone in power" criterion.

I swear that's a line from Sweeney Todd.

EDIT: It IS Sweeney (or at least referencing it). The "Everyone deserves to die" thing is a huge plot point in the movie (and probably in the play, too, but I haven't seen that). Maybe she should try singing to him?

But she needs to make sure not to let him near any razors.
