I've finally read it, and it's good, but I didn't understand how his wife got magically healed the instant she saw him.

I thought that she implied the lady wasn't crazy from the arsenic after all-- just driven out by Mrs. Lovett and a little the worse for wear from a lot of awful experiences, but her memory's still all there.

Fair point. My opinion is that she's not actually crazy at all, but I may not have indicated that very clearly. In the play she always seems aware of what's going on, but she's lost all sense of social appropriateness.
And Qara ninja'd me.

No news yet.
Oh, and it occurred to me: The therapist may well commit herself if Sweeney disappears in front of her. She might just doubt her senses.

And, guys, has anyone considered the possbility of the Refic failing? For whatever reason it is, what if Sweeney sticks around?
Maybe we got the trope wrong, maybe the text lenght wasn't enough... Just the what if.

THAT'S WHY WE WERE SUPPOSED TO HAVE AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE REFIC HIM. Seriously, guys, whatever happened to brute force?
Also, maybe he won't disappear in front of her-- maybe he'll just never have
been. Like, the refic will retroactively send him back to before he crossed the Wall. Since it puts him at an arbitrary point in his timeline anyway. That might make sense.

Maybe he won't simply vanish. I do have some things I had thought a while back, but the Cinderella event kinda-sorta jossed my ideas, which's why I didn't post about this earlier...
Sorry Dilly, I didn't mean to freak you out. I surely hope and believe it'll work, and surely your submission was the best. ^^

Ret Gone makes no sense for meta reasons (they can't brainwash us into forgetting). Also, Cinderella disappeared pretty violently, knocking the agent down. It was more like a small explosion.

It can't fail. It really,
really can't. If it fails we are at a complete dead end all over again... besides it worked for the others, with what was supposedly a NOT very good story, so surely it'll work for us?

...Maybe we should worry less about Lawson committing herself and more about telling her to back away a few feet...

This success has filled me with hope and potential. What other fictionals have all of their echoes?
