The economic fraud case

Postby Dryunya on Sun Oct 07, 2012 2:32 pm

Surprisingly, we don't have a thread for this one, so I'm making it.
This is the blog post.

This one gives us surprisingly little information to work with. I'm not really keeping up with the cases lately, as they have snowballed far beyond my abilities, but if I'm not mistaken, this post is basically an excersize in googling, because Holmes is having problems with it. He posted a question in the comments asking to google up the contry by its economical stats of 2010. I may be mistaken, but I believe there is no such country. Already posted a response, now being approved.

Now I'm stepping aside for the pros to take over. :gurt:

First off, it's a Paris investment bank. Could be the same as where Pierre works. Also, the man has the same first name and I know I've seen the name Lafayette somewhere in this ARG.

Almost certainly linked with the portfolio our victim was working and, and could have something to do with his death.

That may be the hivemind's influence, but I think I've heard it too. I did a search in Holmes' and Poirot's blogs, but nothing so far. That's weird.

I looked over both as well but didn't get anything. Sure I've seen it though.

Aaaand I finally catch up to what's going on, to find that Sherlock just figured out the culprit before I could tell him what happened. Darn it, I always am too slow. I had everything about figured out last night, and then you guys beat me to it. :(

New post, he's found the culprit. Looks like the two cases were unconnected.

Edmund Strauss. Read the post, it's not that long. Unlike Poirot's which is HUUUUGE.

He's real not fictional. Well... As real as a fictional ARG character can be. He is both real and fictional.

Ow, my head.

I think I have it. He's real in-universe whereas Holmes is fictional in-universe.
