I dunno, if anybody can beat the Cheshire Cat at Chess, it's Sherlock Holmes

More of a metaphor for the cats behaviour, I reckon.

A chess game? Don't see any...

Well, obviously, you're going insane.

In any case, that's happening on the television behind the cat. He's probably just watching a magic show. Except he's facing the wrong direction. Oh well. The cat does do strange things.

Going? I thought we all already WERE insane?

I really need to take another look at those comic pages... how many more to go?

Not all of us please ignore my earlier outburst in the Gulliver thread.
But the card game might still be relevant. Or just a background image. Or messing with us.

6 shards without full pages, 7 if you include the cover. Yet the Quixote page proves that not all pages will have a corresponding shard, meaning there could be many more pages to come, with no way to tell how many there's going to be.

Well we could go off the physical copy of the comic, which had the shard pages and several blank pages. Pretty sure some of us got a physical copy... :?

It's the Gulliver thread. It details the continuing adventures of Gulliver and Long John Freaking Silver. A little insanity is warranted.
Card games - tricks played by magicians, it's easy to fool soembody with a card game. There's also the idea of card games being a metaphor for the ARG or something...

Except that I think the pages we don't have shards for correspond to the blank pages in the comic. I think the comic was 16 pages long, including the blank pages. (Ninja'd)

I stand corrected. Looks like we have our number. Is that 16 pages not including the cover? If so, we found three, which means there are 13 to go.

Analyzing the card trick:
The is most definitely a TV. Notice the wires coming from the back.
The man looks to be a magician based on the way he's dressed. He could also be a secret agent, but that doesn't explain the cards.
There are three cards. All look to be aces. The only suit not represented is the diamond.

And that's all I got. That's not really a lot. Perhaps I shouldn't even post this.

Our detective does not seem to like the address we gave him. He claimed that there was no such street, but I linked him to Google Maps. He says that we are overlooking the "mad" avenue part. So... How is an avenue mad? When it's a jar. OK, wrong punchline...

Well, I've tried googling Mad Avenue in NY, but the closest I got was Madison Avenue. Close enough?

There's... some sort of boutique on 797 Madison Ave.
Doesn't quite look like the right thing, unless they sell ties. And I think it's only women's clothes.

Still, it doesn't hurt to try.

EDIT: I googled "797 Mad avenue" and got a New York restaurant (the Gardenia Restaurant). This MUST be it!

A: Not that simple probably

B: Nothing really there. I think. My browser crashed when I tried to look, so I had to restart it.

New tactic: Assuming 'mad' refers to our mad cat. I've been searching Cheshire avenue, road, street, lane, place, etc. in New York.
There's a Cheshire Street in Staten Island and an East Cheshire Place in New York, but a search for number 797 on either gives no results.

I myself have tried every synonym for mad I could think of, insane, crazy, even Wonderland and Cheshire. All with no results. Although, I didn't try 'angry'. Hmmm...

797 Madison Avenue is home to something called "Tory Burch", which is a clothing store.

"Tory" is, naturally, an anagram of "Troy".

Nice call to whoever said Madison.

I said Madison, though I wasn't thinking Madison. Lucky call's more accurate.

Didn't think it would be that easy, we'll have to wait until Holmes gets back to us to find out for sure.

There's no way that it's that easy, but it means we're on the right track.
