I suppose finding Cinderella and punching Moriarty in the face, will have to wait then.

Kind of annoys me that he's being side-tracked but there's nothing he can do at the moment I guess.

I've told him that his client may be Quixote (in case he is an old loon). Is that a problem? :?

That's probably a good idea. Should we link him to Quixote's twitter, to help him find/contact him?

Holmes needs to get back to Tara. Like now. "35 hours to live." This is bad.

New post.
Holmes acknowledges receipt of our important comments, which is good.
We also learn more about Quixote-- his fear of cars does not extend to shopping carts, and his accent includes the Spanish fake-lisp (Holmes heard "Rothinate" instead of "Rocinante").

And... am I missing why Quixote's name reminds him of some fan mail? Should I be more worried about this, or is it something a Metaguard said?

I'm going to err on the side of caution and ask him about the fanmail.

Quixote once mentioned sending an e-mail to Holmes after reading his stories and I told him that Holmes actually existed and linked him to his website.

Also, a new idea (developed in the chatroom) in light of Mr A's announcement:
The apartment Holmes broke into, with all the research on the characters, may have been Ace's-- researching the characters in order to write them back.

That doesn't explain the photos (there were photos, right?). As well as the fact that he was led there by somebody. I dunno, that's not high on my to do list.

No photos, just a shoe.
And the fact that someone wanted him to see it could mean ANYTHING. I still think it was Metaneko dropping the clues.

Is somebody going to inform Holmes of Tara's death? Or will we just let him figure it out on his own?

He was going to visit them anyway. I don't think commenting on his blog would change anything.
At least I can rely on him giving us more exposition. Looks like we'll be investigating her death.

He mentions puzzling ballistic evidence. The case seems very similar to that of the Empty House to me, in which the murderer was Sebastian Moran. And whose assistant was Colonel Moran?
In life, he suffered from a sense of unreality, as do many Englishmen.

New post with some news from a while ago (news we hadn't heard yet).

Is it possible Metaneko sent him this letter?
We know he sent a Welcome to Hogwarts letter to Joe, and Law of Conservation of detail...
But I can't explain the rest here.

Hm. It's possible. Cheshire, with his round-about manner, could have sent something so vague. Though I'd think he'd make Holmes work a bit more for it.
The voices in my head tell me that we saved the world. However, they also told me that George Clooney's face is on the dollar bill, so... meh. The voices are more fun, anyway.

Someone tweet him. We can get a hint at LEAST from him.
