Yes, I said I was going to sleep... I am now, honest. -_-

Quixote once spent the day in a library with no ill effects.

God help him.
My E-Mail wrote:Dear Mr. Holmes,
It grieves me to inform you that your former colleague, Don Quixote, has been shot tonight, just a few hours ago. It happened shortly after his meeting with Tripky. We believe that Deanna had shown up and shot both Quixote and Tripky. Based on Quixote's tweets, Tripky had been killed instantly, shot in the head in between the eyes. Quixote survived, and the last we heard, was being transported to a hospital by paramedics. One of the paramedics on the scene had taken Quixote's phone and sent us a tweet assuring us that Quixote was still alive, and will most likely make it through.
Before he was shot, Tripky had confessed a lot of information about the murder plot and about Deanna Hackins, who turns out was not only an accomplice in Tara Coulson's murder, but was actually the mastermind behind it. If you wish, you can access Quixote's twitter for a fuller account of the conversation, https://twitter.com/TheTrueQuixote, but I will attempt to sum it up.
Firstly, Tripky admitted fully to committing the murder and of taking the shot, but that it was Deanna that had put him up to it. He originally didn't want to go through with the plan, but he feared Deanna too much to defy her. He admitted to running the "shady photography business" that Deanna had Quixote investigate, but also that Deanna herself had co-owned it. Also, Deanna Hackins is not her real name. It is still unknown why Deanna had wanted Tara dead, except that the real target was not Tara, but was instead Quixote. She had planned the murder in a way to draw Quixote out, as well as yourself. She may have wanted to kill both you and Quixote. Hopefully, as of the writing of this letter, she had failed on both accounts. Although if you could send something on your blog as soon as you can, that would relieve a lot of our worries.
We've also learned that Deanna is working for another man, who she has referred to as her teacher. She's also spoke of being against the "fictionals", and she may be planning to kill all the fictionals, which would include yourself, Quixote, Poirot, and several others that you may not be aware of just yet. As for this teacher, we suspect him to be the man behind this website: http://fictionalthreat.twwf.info/
This woman and her teacher is a major threat, to you and to all fictionals, as well as to anyone who just happens to be in their way. Please be careful, and keep your eye out for suspicious behavior. Your next case could very well be another trap executed by this people. We have no idea how many other followers this 'teacher' may have, but it would be foolish to assume that Deanna is alone. It would also be foolishness to assume that she has given up on you, or on Quixote for that matter.
Please, take care of yourself.

The letter was sent directly to Holmes. No other fictional will ever see it. Also, it's the word Deanna used. Holmes would want to know that. What is the issue here?

Not here. Just pointing out that in general we should avoid it.
I don't think Holmes likes to be referred to as a fictional any more than the others. He just gets why people call him that.
WackyMeetsPractical wrote:I just find it odd that you felt the need to react that way to my post, especially since you just now admitted that it didn't matter here. And my purpose for the e-mail was alerting Holmes to Deanna and her possible motives. I probably should've made it more clear that the term "fictionals" was her term, but since I had sent Holmes the link to Quixote's twitter, he would've been able to see it for himself. Other than that, I don't think I did anything wrong. Maybe you could say something constructive, instead of something destructive that doesn't even apply. I just don't see the point.
Maybe it's the confluence of books? Or places with literary powers?
Don Quixote wrote:P.S.: I just realized a coincidence! Wasn’t the first case you investigated with Watson perpetrated by a man named Hope? How amusing!
Qara-Xuan Zenith wrote:Well, he's in Denver.
Looking for a Jack Vincent.
Meanwhile, Hope strangled himself in his cell and wrote in his blood that he was afraid of Deanna.
Also, Quixote got the first comment in with basically a recap of his past few tweets.
What concerns me most, though, is this:Don Quixote wrote:P.S.: I just realized a coincidence! Wasn’t the first case you investigated with Watson perpetrated by a man named Hope? How amusing!
Are they just messing with us? Or is this some sort of obscure hint?

In this forum? I'm willing to bet it's an abscure hint. Lemme just check my copy of Sherlock Holmes...
Damn it, I don't have A Study in Scarlet... found Hope in the wikipedia entry, though. Apparantly the Hope in that story was the murder of the people who killed his wife and her adopted father. He dies of an aneurysm before he can be brought to trial.
S_o_S wrote:Oh, I wasn't making a point about focusing on Doyle, just using her as an example. The point that I was making was just that we should keep our eyes peeled for names that are connected to our fictionals' stories, it seems to be a sign that we're getting things right.
