The first, please. She is so far the most capable fictional we have to deal with.

Not that she couldn't get the original link here... But, well...

Already said that. I'm just not going to make it that easy for her.

Sounds like a good idea. Make sure to frame it as "this might help us investigate those who want to prevent you from going back", so she won't think we're obsessing about the position again.

Nope.

I guess one of the campaign managers should. It's the letter Sherlock Holmes found that we're showing her, right?

Holmes has received a mysterious message. What do we think? Sounds like the Cabal might be trying to recruit him. That... would be bad.

One of the Cabal members might be Moriarty.

Dealt with. Let's hope he actually listens to me. I phrased it so I would get his attention.

It seems he's at least taken on board what you've said.

You know what? I think he's perfectly safe, at least in some sense.
He said he will stay on guard, and he's smart and sane enough to not be manipulated. And I doubt the Cabal would kill him - they are (at least Oberon is) trying to keep all the characters in this world, so the worst case scenario is him getting kidnapped. Which is bad, but not fatal.

Well, I responded. Something is about to happen, and I'm ready to deal with a couple of different scenarios. No plan survives contact with the enemy though, so it's time to sit back and start modifying as new information surfaces.

But if one of the members really is Moriarty, well...

The coordinates point to the presumed location of Troy, the setting of the Trojan War.

EDIT: Got it. He's being pointed at 797 Troy Avenue, New York.

If you had bought two baklava, it would have cost $7.98, which is one cent more than $7.97.

You are being pointed toward 797 Troy Avenue. I as yet do not know what the rest of the riddle refers to.

"find the string beneath the surface"-- maybe there's a mat at the entrance he should look under?

On the other hand, between "the place if you fancy the tie" and "the string beneath the surface", Erik's Punjab lasso comes to mind. That... would not be good.

According to Google Maps, that's a residential road. I don't see any businesses or public places. Just houses. That seems very odd.

I'm getting the suspicion that this will lead to an echo. Perhaps one referred to by one of the shards, a shard that seems to take place in a living room with a very special cat.

"The place if you fancy the tie"... Thai restaurant, maybe?

I saw that too. I'm sure "Troy Avenue" is right, but... this just seems weird.

Wait a minute, there doesn't seem to be anything important at Troy ave. I just see some run down apartment buildings...

My thoughts exactly. Metaneko meets Sherlock. Oh yes.

There seems to be a chess game going on in that shard too. The cat wins. Please, the cat obviously wins.
