Hey guys. It's not a new video, but I did find something weird in one of the letters. Check it out.

Jokes aside, it's a substitution cipher. I'll see what we can do about it. (It would be far easier if the sender bothered to use spaces, though...)

Well, that's a cypher for us.
No spaces is a headache, but shouldn't be too big a problem, unless it's not in english. But that's not likely.

I'll try my hand at it too, but knowing my luck, I'll probably be too slow at cracking it and someone else will manage it before me.

I'm starting to get somewhere. I think I can crack it in about at hour, if I don't get distracted.

It looks like the cipher used in the Sherlock Holmes story "The Adventure of the Dancing Men." I'll see what I can make of it.

In case you aren't using it already: This is the translation of the letters like how they were in Sherlock Holmes.

Well, you did distract me.
I tries to apply the code from the link. The first four characters spell "Ztwm". I guess the cipher doesn't fit, and we're going to have to start from scratch.
By the way, my assumption was incorrect, and I have to start over. =(

The flags are pointing the wrong way

Damn, yeah you're right. I was thinking maybe it would be we would use the guide to translate the sentence to letters, and then do another translation of that (like what we were gonna do for the comic page text) Maybe the image (or the guide) needs to be flipped? Or more likely this is only based off of the guide and letters are completely different.

Maybe. I just noticed the first flag is pointing away from the person not toward him. Could just be a mistake

The only thing I CAN take out of this is that the last three letters, the ones that are underlined, read "Joe".

Either this is Joe somehow writing to himself, that's a Red Herring, or something really wants Joe to know that it knows who he is.

The last sentence seems to read "yoU arE ouR onlY hopE joE." Unsure if the caps are relevant or not.

Maybe the beginning was nonsense just to throw us off. Let's try translating from the end.

Using the guide, the beginning does seem like gibberish but the end seems to make sense. Don't know where the transition is yet.

If that's the case, the first letter is a capital Z as opposed to a Q.

For the topmost line I've got "ZtwmQaeokuqRkteJxakf", though there were a few I found iffy so a double-check would be lovely :] If you guys are working from the bottom up, I'll keep working from top-down and we can probably meet in the middle.

Another possibility is some sort of double-cypher, where letters mean other letters or words are backwards.

It's possible. Keep translating from the bottom and meet the others at halfway, then. See if there's a point where it transitions to what the guide is, or if only the first line is like that.

First letter has flag going wrong way, other seem fine. Someone got sloopy making it and had the flag pointing away from stick dude well all other letter pointed toward them

Am I not needed anymore?

Everyone is needed! The more people doing this the more we have to compare and speculate and confirm. Remember, we're a team, working together is key!

This goes to everyone, if you're ever asking yourself "am I needed? Do they need my help?" The answer is always yes. Always.

I would agree if that really was a decipheringing job. Now it's just matching the letters. No need to throw all the manpower at that, and there is hardly any room for a mistake.
Maybe I'll just stick all this into a timelime.
