Whatever the case, I'm still willing to consider it may be a different continuity's Moriarty. He doesn't seem as technologically and socially unfamiliar as Holmes is...

I thought that as well. He could also have been here longer and adapted better.

I don't think it's anything to do with the Kingston Defence, I think it's just simply J. Marty (Moriarty) is moving the knight (Holmes) to e4 (Leslie Okogwu's location.)

For the sake of completeness, I suggested a theory when we realized this that the drug dealer noticed the same parallels to Holmes that we did in that post and was making a joke. That would mean the name is a red herring. On the other hand, Conservation of Narrative Detail and all...

EDIT:

Yea. In other words, a metaphor that uses chess to sound cool. I was just examining any possibly references to real, famous plays to be sure that they weren't hiding more info in that username.

I'm waiting to see if the commenter will actually answer reply's. Beyond that we have no real lead and will be forced to wait.

I occupy myself with re-watching and reading fanwork on BBC's Sherlock. Better than camping the forums like a nerd with nothing better to do. Even if that is exactly what I am.
The voices in my head tell me that we saved the world. However, they also told me that George Clooney's face is on the dollar bill, so... meh. The voices are more fun, anyway.

I don't feel so bad stalking around the forums. in My expressive design class I'm on the computer the whole class, I just keep the site open in a separate tab. But this isn't the thread to discuss this lol.

Yeah, I know. I just feel like I should have a whole bunch of important stuff to say and the first thing that comes to mind is "I'm bored as f***." And with the Cat being even more cryptic and unhelpful than usual, with no idea when Poirot or Hefner will come back in contact, and Mr. A being as high-and-mighty and completely uninformative as ever, real life feels like a particularly irritating stand still.

Oh, and the therapist tweets about her cats. As though the internet doesn't have enough cats. Doesn't anyone own a dog on the internet?

While I think this conversation is funny, it's pretty off topic for this thread. Let's not clutter up the important threads with this stuff now,

I just wanted to point out, since almost everyone has been sold that Hugh or someone related is Holmes, Joe posted that he wasn't entirely convinced of that. I would keep our eyes open as to who else they could be, because I know a lot of fictional characters who are detectives who could easily be this...Hugh Hefner. Let's just keep our eyes open.

Or he is playing reverse psychology by saying keep a watch out after we figured it out. After all we are pretty sure Moriarty has something to do with this so I am pretty sure Holmes would be here to.

Has nobody seen the new post? "Hefner" is planning on finding Poirot tonight... and there's no doubt about his identity now.

Not only did he admit to being Sherlock Holmes, but the two points he made are both accurate. (Poirot hasn't posted yet, though. :()

I never doubted who it was. At least there supposed to be in England so something should develop before I crash. Can we rename the sub-forum now?
