Edward, sayu, and joe aren't socks. They're characters like Joan was. Socks are folks who pretended to be players.

I was usually Ed. Sometimes Connor, sometimes Sophie. But he was my main account...

Until Joe became my main account in the last month or so XD

But yeah, they were characters, not socks.
