Oh mother of... He is going to attack a statue in public and get arrested, isn't he? ... I am totally not surprised by this. At all. I knew we should have got him on the ferry. *sigh* At least I know where he is now, so I'll just go and start plotting escape routes for when the cops show up, even if I know he will probably resist arrest instead.

I've warned him not to attack men in blue uniforms. All we can do now is pray.

I feel so helpless right now. And I might be leaving in a few hours to watch a movie. I just hope whatever happens, it happens before or after the movie, and not during. Wonder if I can ask him not to get arrested during that time.
If everyone would just agree with me, there would never be any problems.

Okay, he hasn't said anything since the Hammering Man comment, and I'm starting to get concerned.

So am I. If he hasn't heeded our warnings, chances are he's not going to. If he starts attacking the statue, the police will surely come, he'd either get arrested or end up hurting some one trying to get away. Either way, things are going to get bad, and it may be a while before we hear from him. And when we do, it won't be good news.

I think at this point that it's safe to assume Don either got hopelessly lost/sidetracked or arrested. Joy.

It's been two hours since he set off for the statue. I don't know how far he was from it but I would say that's enough time for him to find it, attempt to duel with it, and for the police to come along with a nice white jacket for him.

Assuming, of course, he didn't get horribly lost.

...I worry for this man. I feel like a mother who can't get her kid to just sit down and shut up.

He probably declared the first statue he saw his mortal enemy.

Just in case the cops do come for him, he should split into the forest next to the south-east side of the building. If he passes through that, then doubles back towards the red-brick water tower to the south, he should be able to slip across E. Prospect Street in a heavily wooded area, then move down 13 Ave to East Aloha St, where there is a Seventh Day Adventist church he may be able to take cover in/near.

Thank you Google. You may be planning to create Skynet, but that doesn't make you any less helpful.

It would seem so. Can fictional characters die here?

Also, the church will provide temporary cover at best, so once the first wave of cops pass, he needs to move down 13th, take a right at E Roy, and then left on 11th and south a block to E Mercer St. If he's fast, he can move down that road to the west and reach a more commercial area, where he can enter a store temporarily, before moving further west and past the interstate. By that point, he should be good again.

I don't think tiny, one room convenience stores have mannequins...
