My knowledge of his book is virtually none existent but I sent him a couple of tweets which I think should help.

I'm not even sure that we should be telling him that others thought he was delusional. Even that alone could cast some doubt into one's sanity. And we really don't need him going into sanity slippage.

In the fantasy he created for himself, not only does he consider himself a great hero, but he believes others see it too. If he even suspects that nobody takes him seriously and that his whole existence is nothing more than a mere joke, it may just drive him into depression, and he may take to drinking again. And you know what that would lead to.

That shouldn't be bad. 'Some' is a lot better than 'everyone you've ever made contact with'. That tweet did reaffirm his belief that he is an actual hero.

Someone seems to be trolling him, and now he is convinced that giant are everywhere. Gee thanks. *sarcasm mode*

False alarm. I was still talking about his book, seeking to distract with peripheral detail.

You should've known better. You know how easily confused he gets.

So you did. I do that to people a lot apparently. I can't really understand why it's so weird. Makes sense to me...

I think Don may have used intelligence as his dump stat.

It isn't that he is stupid, it's that he lacks common sense and seems to have completely replaced his normal, functional logic with Wrong Genre Savvyness.

Well if he'd keep his lance and armour in the right place too, our lives might be somewhat easier >.<

I think he'd adjusting though, as much as a crazy guy from the 16/17th century CAN adjust.

I keep hoping Don will react to the linking of I, Don Quixote and constantly updating his twitter. I soooo want to see how he likes it. (And also whether or not he can hear it...)

Even so, they're being incredibly blatant about it now. I mean, I don't go reading fictional stories and start telling everyone how I would react to meeting them. It's just beginning to feel a bit forced.

And now he's telling me Sherlock doesn't exist. Hmmm...What's the best way to handle this?
