Tara Coulson wrote:I’m considering having him investigated

What are the chances he'd be investigated by one of our friendly neigbourhood fictional detectives? It might be a good thing to have Holmes or Poirot interact with him-- if nothing else, it would probably cause another echo, giving us/Mr. A more info.
Maybe we should encourage her to have him investigated, and suggest to her the website of a couple investigators of our acquaintance.

"Dear Tara,

While that knight is completely bat shit crazy, he's a good man and I think you can trust him. If you still have doubts, Sherlock Holmes and Hercule Poirot are more than willing to have a look at him for you."

Am I good to roll with this?

Let's see, she thinks the guy claiming to be Don Quixote is insane, so referring her to two detectives claiming to be Sherlock Holmes and Hercule Poirot sounds like the most sensible thing to do.

If she asks, tell her it's just two guys taking the names of these characters to sound good, and lik her to their sites.

I'm glad you agree. If anyone asks, you gave me permission to post it.

What's this I don't even.

I've been messaging her for some time now, by the way. She never approves the posts, but she reacted to somebody's comment, so at least she reads them.

If you are willing to tell her everything... Well, it's not like I can stop you. But I have no idea why we should. :|

I would say don't say "Sherlock Holmes and Hercule Poirot". Say "these guys" with a link to their professional sites.

Should we have noted that? It's not like we didn't guess last week.

But now it's almost solid evidence! That's... not really getting us anywhere, but at least may be useful if we are going to retell his story to Tara, or something.

Except they have their names on their professional sites. She'd discard them as jokes immediately.

And we all remember that the phone apparently belongs to Tripky.

Actually, all they have is "Holmes Investigations" and "Hercule Poirot: Little Grey Cells at Work". They, especially the former, imply a detective agency named after a famous fictional detective, not some crackpot who actually thinks he's Holmes or Poirot.

She's with a man claiming to be a Knight of Burger. Holmes Investigations shouldn't be too much of a stretch.

By the way, now that it's important: do the detectives now use their real names in public, or stick to their fake ones?

Best way to find out: ask the therapist the name of the detective she engaged. (Maybe we can tell her we're in need of a good investigator ourselves, and want to know who she used.)

Or I guess we could ask Holmes or Poirot ourselves, explaining that we want to refer them to someone who won't get the whole fictional stuff.

That's the right course of action... But, to be honest, I got tired of interacting with them through blogs. They take an eternity to respond.
Do it yourself. :D

Posted a comment telling her that Don got in the paper a while back, and to look at that if she doesn't believe us. For some indecipherable reason, the GMs do NOT want us posting on Tara's blog, so none of my comments have appeared, same as you guys. Usually most of my comments go through right away...

Ingame  maybe the blog was hacked again and Tripky does not want our comments to reach her... Possible?

Doubt it. Been like this since we found it.

For some reason, I've been dismissing it as a character quirk.

So, Don Quixote needs to learn a spell. Interesting turn of events.

I hope it wasn't beyond my bounds, but I've already responded, cryptically referencing the witch has potentially being able to help. Should we continue down this road?

I'm not exactly sure what Quixote means by "sealing" the troll, but what if one of us offers to "teach him" a (made up) "permanent binding spell" on the troll, guaranteed to permanently prevent it from motion?

I was thinking along those same lines. What have you in mind?
