Gulliver and Silver seem to have landed. By the description he gives, it sounds like a beach, probably one of many popular vacation spots. My guess for the moment is Hawaii. He mentioned local entertainment, making me think he's spotted some hula dancers. I'm glad he's finally having some fun.

I see coconuts and ahi in the names of dishes, which does point toward Hawaii. However, we still need to get more specific. It's hard to read the menu listings, and I don't have powerful enough graphics software to do much about that.

I am SO GLAD you were able to read that! All the names I was making out were so generic, they could just as well have been from restaurants just down the street from me.

Here's something that's been bugging me. How can Not Your Sayu-chan have spoken to Gulliver in person? I mean, did she bump into an actual person dressed up as Gulliver, decide it had to do with the game, and approach him? IRL, the characters don't-- can't-- have a physical presence.
So either she's definitely not just a player, or it wasn't her who insulted him at the restaurant. Because whoever it was has to be at least as fictional as Joan Lawson and Tara Coulson in order to be able to interact with the characters face-to-face.

That's not what I mean. It can't be someone reading the ARG, because a real person wouldn't have seen Gulliver, on account of the fact that, IRL, he's not really there; there's no one to see. It's highly unlikely that the GMs have people dressed up as the characters wandering around where they're supposed to be.

Gulliver said someone approached him in person to criticize his blog. Therefore, that someone is either "in on it" with the GMs (i.e., didn't really approach him but is willing to play along that she did if we ask), or fictional, on a level with Lawson and Tara.
I think we need to find out more about this young lady. (I left a comment on his blog asking for more information on the encounter, but if someone wants to chime in with that, it probably can't hurt.)

I was actually suspicious of the Cabal, because I'm paranoid. XD I haven't really looked into it, but no one ever confirmed anything about it being Sayu, and she never said anything about it either, as far as I know. Just kept calling him an idiot. Well, we will find things out once we get that echo. We already had someone say they had some relatives in the area.

Or this is not an ARG and she did meet Gulliver.

She could just be trolling too. I mean, it's possible she just made that up for the lulz.

Not out-and-out saying she met him, but implying it strongly enough to qualify as trolling, I think.

But either way, we should probably find out what really happened. Can someone ask Silver via twitter to give his perspective on the "young lady" who confronted Gulliver?
