You do realize I am even now opening the tab to edit that in as your character page quote, right?

Fine by me.

Although he sidestepped my question, he did answer the question I was really trying to get answered, at what point of his story is the Gulliver we're dealing with at. So, yeah, I'm proud of myself, although I had already suspected as much.

He has already mentioned that he suspects he's moved forward in time.

When'd he mention that? Based on his last letter, he's still speaking as if no time could've gone by since he tried to publish his books, and he speaks to me about vehicles as if I'm living in his own time period. He still has no idea how far the world has advance and that the technology he sees in Japan and Australia has pretty much spread all over the world. And he still thinks he has a family left to go back to.

In any case, he seems to be interested in vehicles, so I'm going to tell him about planes. I'm sure Silver wouldn't be too happy about it, but I'm sure Gulliver would love it.

Dunno which one but it's one of the newer ones.

The closest I can see is his confusion that Tokyo could build so many tall towers in such a short amount of time. But even then, he hasn't come to the conclusion that he's traveled through time.

I think he offhandedly mentioned something about it in one of the early posts.

I didn't say he'd realised I said he SUSPECTED he'd moved through time.

I don't even think that's true. He never once mentioned time travel as far as I know.

Well when he says "people have built these towers and they could not have done so in a few years" what do you think he means

I thought you guys were discussing if Gulliver could read his story since they're in the past tense, and I thought someone (I guess that's RotavatoR) didn't get that.

Yeah, I thought that some other people might have missed it, so I posted anyway.

What if we give Gulliver his book, he takes it back across the wall and has it published?

And another letter from Gulliver. The important stuff:
1. Gulliver is aware that we know of his stories, but he himself cannot read them, much like Quixote couldn't read his.
2. John did not tell Gulliver that he can read the story just fine.
3. Gulliver is interested in taking a plane to his "native lands". He still seems to believe he's in his own world.

According to Wiki, Gulliver is from England, so they may actually go. Yet I can't imagine John, a pirate wanting to go there.

Well, if he comes to London, I can try to help out. I do not have a smart phone, so I can't participate in the Augmented Reality stuff, but I'm all for helping in other ways.

The fact Gulliver can't read his book means it's not just to avoid spoilers as he's already had all of his adventures.

Have any of the ficitonals been able to read their own stories? If so, maybe that in itself is a clue. Maybe someone is pretending to be a fictional...

The only other one we've tried was Quixote, who saw it as blank.
