If it weren't for the fact that it's probably prohibitively expensive, I'd suggest we should just hire a private investigator to go to the statue and report back to us.

... Well, now that the troll is gone, back to the matter at hand. Didn't we have a photo of the fish as well? Is it just not clear enough?
The voices in my head tell me that we saved the world. However, they also told me that George Clooney's face is on the dollar bill, so... meh. The voices are more fun, anyway.

The problem is, even if we could find a picture of that particular fish, it's entirely possible (and I'd bet likely) that the clue was only added recently.

Well, if any clues ever appear in Reno, I'll get right on that. I'm very sure that's going to happen.

Idea: maybe there's gonna be a video floating around on YouTube sometime in the near future regarding this. That's how everything started, right? A few guys posted videos of Slendy, Cerberus, Don Quixote, etc. and Joe found them and shared them with the world.
So, apparently I'm the sanest madman this side of the international date line. Seems legit.

RP news: Power Play and Sunset Drift are open for business! Bound by Faith may need a while to finish, though.

Does anyone know anybody that lives nearby the area? We should have someone actually go to this beach!

That's what we've been trying to figure out for a while now. Thus far, the closest we have is someone 4 hours away.

What about just friends in the area, not necessarily playing the game...we really just need someone to check for us, doesn't HAVE to be one of us. I can't myself, 9 hours away, and I don't know anyone from the area.

Oh. Well, in that case, same basic problem here.

Maybe we should brainstorm ways to get the word out to someone who can help us?

We could use our twitters or something, with a hashtag asking for people in the area to help us? If enough of us do it may be noticed...?

I'm a newbie as far as the 'known' side of TV Tropes goes, but I recall seeing something in the super-thread for this ARG about a section that lists the locations of Tropers who fill in that info. Someone wanna check that?

Thanks. I try to catalog info I think may be useful, but there is so much of it, I usually take a while to find the right trigger to bring the memory to the surface. Results in a lot of annoying moments where I know I know the answer to something, but I just can't think of it. If i come up with anything else, I'll let you know.

Well I don't know if I will be able to go there, although I do live in North carolina. College has been taking up alot of my time and I really need this weekend to finish up alot of work. Now if this clue was put up three weeks ago, THEN I would've been able to take a few pictures and maybe even a video feed through Skype, since I was there with a few friends, but sadly as of now I cannot.

Whoever we do get to go, we should have them stick "This statue of Neptune is not Neptune" on the statue.

'Salright. I'm in the same boat. And might I say I love you having Junior as your avatar?

Aww thanks, Didn't think that anyone would recognize him at first. His father is totally badass and junior is equally as awesome, but I prefer him with some skin and eyes rather than bones.

I've looked at the troper maps. There are a couple of tropers about 10-16 km away (Accela & StrawberryFlavored). Now contacting them.
I should have probably done it sooner - it's pretty late out there. =/

So, earlier today Cheshire tweeted the music video for "Message in a Bottle." Then his riddles indicated that we should send someone to a statue of Neptune. I'm assuming that there's a literal message in a bottle of some kind on/at the statue.

Whoever winds up actually going there (though it looks like it won't be one of us on this forum) should be aware of what to look for.

Very good point, whoever goes should definitely look for something like a message in a bottle around the statue.

Agreed with looking around the statue. The clue may be directly on the statue or within the general area of it. A little searching might be necessary because the message could be hidden so just anybody doesn't walk off with it.

Accela has written me back. She (according to her trope list, she's a "she") can check the statue on Sunday. I hope it's still valid by then.
