I've already said as much a long time ago. Course, I got told off for being a jerk...
Whatever. I do note that you have some issues with your first paragraph. First,
we don't know what will happen if a fictional dies, and that in itself is dangerous. If it is at ALL possible to protect him and still save the world, we should do it, merely out of pragmatic caution. Not saying we should cancel the Cabal plan, just saying we shouldn't be nearly as careless about it as you seem to be suggesting. Second, I don't think there is anyone who actually wants to send him directly back to his world. That stopped being an option a long time ago. First we discounted it in that huge thread, and then Mr. A said in his AMA session that it should not be necessary to send them back to their original worlds, as long as they go to fiction. (Note that this implies via the meta-verse model that we should be OK if one dies, but I don't want to take that risk if possible) Sending Romeo back to Verona would be needlessly cruel and serve no point. Other than that, I pretty much agree.

I've never liked this plan, and I still don't like the plan. There are two flaws with it. 1, the cabal are not idiots. They're not going to just trust Romeo with everything. They may give him very limited information, or even false information, just to test how faithful he would be with it. 2, Romeo's not an idiot. He's young and he does stupid things, but he's just a kid who just wants to hang out with his buds and have a good time. He's not going to get caught up in a gang of potentially dangerous fictionals who want all fictionals to stay here. Even if he doesn't want to be returned, he wouldn't want to keep Juliet from returning.
There are so many ways this plan can back fire, and I am so glad Romeo seems to be wise enough not to be falling for it.

I've never been a fan of this idea either. I don't think Romeo would go along with it, and I think it would be out of character for the Cabal to trust him at all.

One of the comments he posted lately seems to say that he got confused, but seems to tilt towards the theory that he is compromising reality by staying. Maybe it's the GMs' saving throw to keep him away from the Cabal, as they probably didn't plan that.

So I guess you'd all be mad at me if I commented with another comment warning him about how they are dangerous people and joining them would be a bad idea?
Yeah, I thought so. So I'll keep quiet. It looks like there's no stopping this train wreck. I'll just sit back and watch, and then laugh when this blows up in everyone's faces.

Yeah, please don't do that.
Actually...
Heads up, everyone: NOBODY POST ANYTHING on that blog post. Whatever we say, in either direction, will probably make it worse now. If we go on about how he shouldn't contact them, he'll just get more interested.

Well, he was given the Cabal's chat links. If we wanted him to contact them, that would be the most logical thing to do anyway. If we didn't, it would be anyway (the chat doesn't really show the Cabal positively). I say linking him there still makes the resolution open-ended - if the GMs want him to join them, they'll find the excuse, if they don't - they'll find it too.
I say We Wait.

(Suggestion previously to reveal Juliet's location via locate.pheeble. Didnit realise we had city ID. Where, out of interest?)

Seriously, on Romeo's blog, who is Nero?

No. 1. We already know where she is as far as city goes.
2. We MIGHT be able to refictionalize her dead, but Mr. A said it might cause problems, plus it's less fun writing about.
3. We've already ruined things enough to give them Romeo; now we're going to sacrifice Juliet, too? No character is insignificant, and we can't afford to lose her to them.

Ignore my post:
I didn't know we had a city ID. If we didn't, I would still say it's a good idea.

I still really want to know who 'Nero' is. I thought my messages (as Kerniw, Publius and Juris too) were quite consistent.

...So now the most recent Romeo post, which we agreed to avoid commenting in to prevent mixed messages, has more comments than the previous one.
*facepalm*

That's pretty much it. If I don't know who Nero/Julius is in 10 minutes, I'm straight out asking them who they are.

I love Romeo now.And I love how, despite everything, despite Vanessa, despite our ridiculous mixed messages and seriously misguided suggestions, he is on our side. Rather, Juliet's side.
This is possibly the best blog post I've seen, of ANY of the character blogs, to date.

In return for this awesomeness, I have continued to post on his blog. I've given him a completely open update on what we are doing, good and bad news. I don't know how he will act, but he deserves that much just for this.
Now, I need someone OTHER than me to post waring Juliet, and perhaps updating her as well. I don't want to do it since I vouched for Romeo a while back and them BOOM that Vanessa debacle comes up.
And link her to that post, will ya? The poor girl will appreciate it.

l give her my two cents.
Romeo totally won some cred back from me, though. Kid's really growing up.

Okay here's the post I made to Juliet:
Scarab wrote:I do hope I’m not worrying you here, but I thought it best to leave a warning.
Romeo has recently been in contact with a group known as the Cabal, he contacted them after hearing something about how they were working on ways to allow them to stay in this world (an act which, by the way, may have unfortunate consequences that we are still working on sorting out).
Upon realising that they planned to find a way to force ALL fictionals to stay, including you, he immediately… well, I believe the modern term of phrase is “told them where to stick it”. In short, he blatantly refused to help them in anyway especially if it would jeopardise your chances to go home as you wish.
We feel we should warn you. The Cabal, as they call themselves, are dangerous and while they have some good reasons for wanting to stay, their plans at current will force YOU and all others to stay too. watch our for suspicious, leacherous, misleading or questionable people who try to coerce you. They do not have your best interests at heart.

Juliet has
found her book (and, naturally, can't read it).
This probably requires the usual careful handling.
