Wrong. Angelus seems to be the head of the organisation. He doesn't appear to have been manipulated as he started the site. Romeo has given no indication he was forced to do anything, and Moriarty could want ANYTHING.

Angelus wanted Joe to stop. He questioned Oberon's decision to kill him. I'd say Oberon is both evil and powerful - both physically and psychologically (they were even hesitant to attract his attention). If he wasn't the leader - he is now.

I definitely think Oberon is the most dangerous, but to me, Angelus seems the most intelligent.

Also, just because they use male names, doesn't mean they have to be male characters. Not that I'm thinking about anyone in special yet...

If we assume they were the ones theatening the therapist, there is one woman among them.

Right, and so far as I can tell they ALL sound either British or European in origin.

Not to change the topic but who the heck is JANE MACGONAGLE anyway?

I suspect Angelus is the woman, because of the name, but I really don't have much proof of that theory, so who knows. I'm going to try something to get more.

Now that I had time to look over everything, some thoughts.

These are bad guys. We should not sympathize with them. Hacking the site? Really? Lordxana, you'd rather trust the guys who send threatening letters and hack our website over the guy who has done nothing but act mysterious? That makes no sense to me.

I understand their motives, and maybe they do have the right to stay, but so far they've acted against us, and all we want to do is make sure we are safe. Look what they've done to Joe, scared him into leaving his home. That cannot be tolerated.

I do not believe that Romeo is involved in this group. Maybe he is, but I just don't want to believe it. He's given no indication on his blog that he's involved himself in anything like this. But maybe we should keep our eye on him all the same.

They may not ALL be evil, although at least two seem to definitely be.

And Romeo's not gonna post "hey guys, sent threatening letters and made a threatening phone call today" is he?

He seems, at least, very much manipulable. If they got him to want to stay, I'm sure he'd be willing to help out with the plans even if he didn't understand/know all of it.

Attempting to discern who sent what message on the therapist's phone, but I'm in calculus right now so I can't do much.

Agreed, but I must concur with Wacky on this one. If they are actually trustworthy people, then they should have come forth and ACTED that way from the start, not started threatening peoples lives via letters. All Joe was doing was making a 'Strange Things' video series like a million other people have done on the internet and the first thing they saw fit to do was threaten him.

Although that said... we've kind of been doing a simialr thing, haven't we? What with contacting all these ficitonals and maybe not explaining everything all at once (granted, I think that was mostly because we were sure we wouldn't be believed by most of them right off the bat, but still...)

Seriously though, these guys are CLEARLY untrustworthy. If they're fictionals who are crossing over and bringing their tropes with them? Come on, guys. We're all Genre Savvy enough to know that Real World logic may not even apply here. Real world logic would say that Pyramus is Romeo, and reality would accept that... but we're dealing with FICTION here, and in fiction, it's almost NEVER the first ,most obvious person who turns out to be the culprit.

No, what we did was completely different. We approached each and every one of these fictionals as friends. We never threatened them or made them feel uncomfortable. We got close and tried to help them adjust and stay out of trouble. That's the proper way to act. If they've done that to Joe or any one of us, that would've been fine. But instead, they tried scare tactics. Bad move.

In all fairness, I don't think you can say what we've done to the Wicked Witch would count as friendly or making her feel comfortable.

True, I'm sorry, I guess I was drawing a comparison when the situation is quite different, at least WE tried to help them... we've been trying to help all along, that's why we're CONSIDERING an alternative to just sending them back.

In the same way that we're trying to help them becaus we were told to, they saw someone sending letters and decided to follow their lead. They are new to this world, and it was the only thing they saw that was done by another fictional.

Also, they all seem to be aware they are fictional.

I don't know about the rest of y'all, but I was very friendly to the witch. The worst I did was give her a false name, pretended to be something I was not, and tried to put her in a false sense of security so I could get close and later betray her. Other than that, I had been incredibly cordial.

I think, to the witch, being dispicable can actually be a plus for you provided it's not all just pointless bickering. She seems completely unaffected by my ability to decieve. Indeed, I think that's why she picked us three in the first place.

I'm not saying whether or not she wanted to be greeted like that, or whether or not she deserved to be treated like that. I just don't think we should be asserting how friendly and warm we are when we did what we did to the Witch.

Fair enough, but she IS the Wicked Witch of the West, we never expected her to be a NICE person from the outset, wen most others were pretty much safe or 'good guys'.We immediately assumed the worst of her.

What we did to the witch wasn't that bad. We didn't try to scare her or hurt her, and only a few of us threatened her (Not me). In fact, we tried to help you. We applied for the position and actually tried to recruit for her cause. I say we handled the witch situation fairly well. Compare that to what the cabal did to poor Joe.

I'm not at all surprised Joe chose to keep away from this one. Especially considering they have him on the run.

I'll say it again, but this time without mistakes:
If we assume they hacked the site by themselves, it was probably him who did that. But we theorize him to be Moriarty, with all his chess motifs. He hardly had two months to get the hang of this world - he couldn't have learnt hacking in that time, even given his intelligence. There is a contradiction.

If he is Moriarty, though, he probably could have just hired somebody...

One of them could be Kabal... You never know. ;)
