Being the guy who used to collect glitches in videogames, I can tell you that that's fun in its own way, too. :D

Not necessarily for sequence-breaking purposes, so much as speeding things up once you know you've arrived at that point in sequence. for example, it wouldn't be sequence-breaking to use this newfound magic of yours to discover the Gulliver echo, since sequence-wise, we should already be there, and are just being held up by the practical matter of getting someone there. Not like I'm suggesting anything...

Sure, but since we can only play this one once...

Just sayin.

I've tried. "beach", "hawaii", "buzzwharf", "buzzswharf" and "restaurant" don't get me anywhere. Neither does "gulliver". Your suggestions?

Dude, you're a genius.
Also, the working title for the ARG was "Crossovers". And don't ask me how I know that. :geek:

Au contraire.
If Dryu edits his post quickly, and I delete this one, and we cover our tracks well, we can make it look like we "found" it the normal way, and use this a couple more times if we need.

And if it's already too late, and the GMs have seen Dryu's post, then this is already the ONLY time it will work.

If the GMs have the slightest bit of sense and they prepared even a little against the curious meta-thinking troper hivemind, they would only copy the images when we found the corresponding echoes. It's easy to automate, mind you.

...we can still brute-force the i_[a-zA-Z0-9]{8}.php URLs... That was my first thought when I saw them, but there's no way I'm touching that. :gurt:

I can't say I'd be impressed if you did. Even if that did work, it seems like that would be going really far out of your way to not play the game (consider how many combinations there are), but also to ruin it for the rest of us.

Thought about doing that. But it breaks the fun.

Anyway, any smart admin will only upload the .png to the /folder _after_ the Echo is confirmed. Just sayin'.

Oh, bloody hell. I skip over what looks like incoherent argument and then don't notice something until hours after it's happened. *Skulks off into a corner*

Well... if it helps, I agree that it was weird and funny... :?

I've just noticed that Poirot was wearing three masks. He's even more badass now. :gurt:

You just noticed? The final one had a tongue sticking out.

I thought the tongue was real. :? It would be difficult to make a sticking tongue on a mask that's supposed to be worn under another mask.

Yea it was. I just phrased it badly...

Holmes looks good in this world. No really, he looks quite badass.

Although I wanted to see what Poirot looked like....

Was it just me or Holmes' mask had a beak?

It had a beak. Thats a common masquerade mask, I believe. Why? Do you think it may be relevant in some way?
They sometimes say, "the place where I am right now was circled on a map for me"... Unfortunately, I kind of suck at orienteering.

No, just checking if I wasn't crazy. My first thought when I saw it was the one relating it to the Plague Doctors, but then I realized it was just a normal mask. Just commenting.
