Well, we know that the invitation is to the Plaza Hotel in New York. Anybody in New York with a smartphone?

Someone suggested Craigslist last time... I think we should actually go for that. Casts a wider net, in a specific city too.

Yeah, someone mentioned it when we needed to go to the Neptune statue or find the notebook.

Any ideas for the section(s) we should put ads in? Wording? kind of bad at this, but it's free and probably the easiest thing to put up for potential returns.

That was me, but it got brought up on the old TV Tropes megathread while I was still lurking, which is why I know.

Can you look for NY based tropers then?

I don't see the harm in explaining the ARG to him and asking for help if you're in the area, Dear.

As much as I hate to say it here, we do need someone in New York as soon as possible. I recommend explaining it as an ARG and asking if he can. (honestly, it's unlikely that most people would agree to this either way)

Doesn't he have to have Layar?

It does have to be Layar. Plus, Mr. A mentioned something about a 'glimpse'. It may be inefficient to send someone else if there is something important we will see, or rather miss seeing.

THOUGH LAYAR DOES HAVE TO BE USED, THE ECHO WOULD BE DIFFICULT TO MISS BY ANYONE USING THE TOOL IN THE CORRECT LOCATION. SURROGATES ARE A PLAUSIBLE OPTION.

FINDING THE ECHO IN ITSELF SENDS DATA TO US FOR USE, SO WE WILL ALSO ASSUREDLY BE INFORMED OF ITS DISCOVERY.

Do you know anybody with one who would loan it to you? Or go with you? :D I have a feeling that we need someone to do this sooner rather than later. Otherwise it will be the notebook fiasco all over again.

A good number of my friends have Iphones, I can see if anyone's up to checking it out with me. I won't be able to do so until this weekend, though.

Use this thread for the discussion of getting someone to the echo in New York.

Also, let's keep these topics clean of derailment. It's important we stay focused and not lose these echoes like we did the notebook. Distractions won't be tolerated in this sub forum.

Sounds like there's a slight problem at the Plaza Hotel location.
@YouHaveFailedUs @FindTheEcho No sign of drop at Plaza hotel. Can you confirm location? pic.twitter.com/gf8YEnDP

That was the first echo to pop up, wasn't it? Maybe it expired?
