PM received. I don't have an iPhone or Android, but I know people who do. I'll throw a few lines out and see if I can hook someone.

Awesome. You could be our first echo locator. ^_^ Can anyone think of a way to record what the echoes look like? If we do end up needing outside help from somewhere like Craigslist, a how-to video with an example of what we are looking for in it would work wonders. I would try, but I have no phone, let alone an intelligent one, so I know very little about the whole mess.

This is what Mr. A has on how to use it. We'll see what happens when someone actually gets on-site.

I know that that vid is already there, but adding an example of what you will see when it happens would be nice. If it isn't possible, oh well. Just commenting that it might be useful.

You could always just take a screenshot when you're looking at it, then post that up here.

THE ECHO PLACEMARKER FOUND IN LAYAR MUST BE TAPPED, AND THE PASSWORD (Gurt) ENTERED, IN ORDER FOR THE INFORMATION TO BE TRANSMITTED. AFTERWARDS, THE FINDINGS WILL BE AVAILABLE TO EVERYONE.

I have to ask, why can't we just take a picture of the place and use Layar on that?

THE ECHO IS ROOTED IN A LOCATION, NOT IN AN IMAGE. THE DEVICE CAN ONLY DETECT THE ECHOES WHEN YOU ARE PHYSICALLY NEAR THEM.

Lovely. And so my not having a license continues to bite me in the butt.

Someone found this one, so it's not important now. But if something comes up near you again, there are other ways you can help. Retweet the Echo Finder Service, post on Craigslist, etc. We can afford to get inventive.

Besides, the app seems pretty cool, and is useful for stuff other than just this game.
