Mr A has confirmed that the site of Erik's play is an echo.

Tohrinha has identified the Broadway theatre in question, based on the clues, as the Majestic Theatre.

It's in Manhattan.

Ya'll are making me wish I knew people in every state in the country. A girl friend in New York, a sister in Chicago, an old teacher in Boston... all I've got is an ex-boyfriend in New Orleans who may or may not be close enough to do anything.

Guys, I think we need to stress that this one is urgent. It obviously refers to Erik, and if WMG is correct, he may be trying to bring other fictionals into this reality. Specifically, Lovecraftian ones. This one needs top priority. Anyone who can reach this echo, do it now. We need the Phantom back behind the wall, asap.

Agreed. If only I was an American... Never thought I'd say that.

Sooo... I have an uncle in New York. Posh business executive, wasn't going to ask him because he probably wouldn't be interested, but things seem to have TOTALLY DIED on this front (seriously, what?) so I'm going to go ahead and poke him.

Dun-dun-DUUUN.
I know how to convince Erik to refictionalize himself. His love interest is still there. ;)

That's a mask!

I still say it's not. A mask couldn't fake his mouth. AND it would protrude. Either way, it would be noticeable. It may be easy to hide a mask on a comic, but the real people are not that stupid. If he's a celebrity, his new photos would be analyzed even before they get publicized.

Paper-Thin Disguise
There must be a trope there, and asides from Slender Man, there is none.

The trope is Girlfriend in Canada. I'm fairly sure.

I don't even see a disguise. It just looks like his face.

... That's why it's called PAPER-THIN DISGUISE
THERE'S NO WAY WE COULD KNOW ASIDE FROM THE FACT HIS FACE IS OBVIOUSLY BREAKING AND NOBODY IS NOTICING

It's not a disguise. It's his face and it's deformed, which is why it looks like it's breaking. And his deformity is a lot less severe then say Adam or the Witch, so I don't think the fact that nobody is noticing is significant.

The Witch is GREEN and so is Adam, and he has PATCHES over his body. But they don't need to show it on the comics. In Erik's case, it's obvious he has a deformity, so he hid it, because even that trope about don't seeing the obvious weird stuff won't help.

I'll put it this way. Girlfriend In Canada obviously applies. The Paper-Thin Disguise is debatable. Therefore, the refic should be written with the former.
Good call, Wacky.

Victin says Slenderman, I say it's an alien. I mean, seriously, look at his face and skin color. That's classic alien.

I said Mr. A, who happens to be Slender Man or a relative of his.
