Pan updated, ad we guess that it was an echo. Confirmed by A just now.

Map here.
Normal people are the easiest to manipulate. Too smart and they have an annoying tendency to catch wind of your plans, too dumb and, in the words of a certain pirate, "You can never tell when they are about to do something incredibly...stupid."

As for tropes, I've noticed several possibilities: They Call Him Barkeep, Evil Laugh, though I think the most prominent is Amoral Attorney

Doesn't seem that hard. Just give one of the pirates a law degree.

That is possibly the most hilariously awesome response you could have made, Wacky. :gurt:

There's You Have To Believe Me too, but Amoral Attorney seems to be the most likely one.

... So we have Uncomfortable Elevator Moment and Amoral Attorney. I think the GMs might be trolling us on Pan here. This is just going to end up a bad AU fic.

It's official. A nephew/apprentice/something of Manfred Von Karma has escaped to our world.

Also: Awesome job! it's good to get to echoes so shortly after they appear. I wish I could be of some help, but I doubt there will ever be an echo in my city, what's to say somewhere where I can reach.

Regarding tropes, unless Mr. A specifies Amoral Attorney, I believe we should stick to Evil Laugh.
I'm back, not that anyone cares.

I dunno. I think it not only could work; it might be HILARIOUS.
Why are we even arguing about a dead fictional dude and hypothetical ninjas?

Hmmm... a You Have To Believe Me to an Evil Laughing Amoral Attorney during an Uncomfortable Elevator Moment.... and the attorney is a pirate.

Do it.

WMG: At one point, we'll be told that the limes mark some other stuff, like Mr. A's heads.

If it does, it'll only lead to an optional side quest, as there was no way the lime motif could've been implemented into the main plot in time to organize it.

WMG: We're told to find a physical object at these places. We go. We find limes. Nothing but limes.
