I did call the book store and received confirmation that the book is still there as of this posting.

I didn't get to vote on this earlier in the chat, but I really think we should be going after this piece, if we are able. I'm just really concerned that if this is something physical, then something could happen to it like the message in a bottle. As for the reintegration thing as soon as it's removed, I wouldn't worry about it. I hate to say it, but I suspect Mr. A could be lying. I mean, what's the point of a code if it's going to be reintegrated anyway? It doesn't make sense. And I simply don't believe it.

Either way, we said this was going to be a test run, so let's test it.
If everyone would just agree with me, there would never be any problems.

I'm with you, let's go for it. Time to experiment...

Unless we hide the fact that we have the piece from Mr. A (and that means secret chatroom PMs and all that [CENSORED]), he'll see that we got it and say that it's reintegrated, regardless of us accessing the link or no. If he's telling the truth, that is.
Even that won't help, because the current keeper will be able to inform that the piece was moved, so meta wise, if it will reintegrate from being moved, it will be reintegrated from being moved. So please, no further chatroom secrecy, pretty please?

Also, I wouldn't worry about another Bottle mishap, after that I'm sure they'd not leave physical trinkets unattended. Especially because we have a short deadline and such a setback would utterly break the pacing.

If he's lying however, it is another discussion altogether.

So, after discussing the matter in the chat with many members of the community, I ultimately decided to get the piece. My rational was that we would eventually need to get it anyway, we'd learn how the process works, and it will make the Cabal happy. On the other hand, while Mr. A will hate me, I've at worst caused a minor setback to him. So I got the piece and scanned the code. (They wouldn't let me take it! ) I've posted some photos so you can see what it looked like at: http://imgur.com/a/RLK06.

Since one of the main reasons to get it was to see what the process was like, I think we've gained a bit of knowledge. Clearly the process was relatively easy with no tricks involved. Notably, there doesn't seem to be any other clues hidden with it, so we certainly won't be hindering the search process if we wait to actually get the other pieces.

Awesome news Enlil. :gurt: Now I'm jealous I won't get a trinket as cool as that one!

It's good to know that we can collect the pieces at the last day and still make it in time, without having to worry about last minute puzzles.

Not gonna lie, I cracked up when I saw the word Gurt in there. I have to say, it's pretty cool that this is an actual thing. Enlil got a souvenir!
Not a distress call. Honest.

  1. Can you make another photo of the actual wall piece, on another background?
  2. Shame they didn't let you take the book. :( What was their reasoning for this?
  3. Mr. Administrator's thought patterns are hilarious.
  4. I am disappoint in your choice of the piece, but that is the stuff for a different thread.
  5. From what I've seen, I don't think we're gaining anything from it.
  6. HOLYSHITLIGHTNING. Do you think Mr. A is actually hurt? Look at what you've done.
I have attempted to suppress my inner hyperspace future gardener crying out against all the injustice I am committing.
