[FOUND] Echo location: Omni Hotel, Los Angeles

Postby Qara-Xuan Zenith on Sun Dec 09, 2012 9:01 am

So based on Juan's information, there MAY be a Moriarty and/or Morgana echo here, at the Omni Hotel, 251 S Olive St, Los Angeles.

If someone could get there to scan it with Layar to find out, that would be great.

I'll try to get this today. It'll be tricky, because I'm also supposed to leave the LA area today to visit my parents. But if I can't get it now, then I won't be able to get it until it's too late.

Great job! Limes aplenty: :gurt: :gurt: :gurt: :gurt: :gurt: :gurt: :gurt: :gurt: :gurt:

Also, looks like Beserk Button for me. Maybe I'll try to find something more specific.

YOU HAVE REDEEMED YOURSELF, DILLY!

I'm thinking Tantrum Throwing.

(Edit: derp. Tantrum Throwing IS the trope about throwing furniture...)

Awesome! :D

This also made me realize something: Sherlock Holmes and Moriarty are both on our world, but so far they have been treated as if they didn't even came from the same books. At no point did they interact, or we talked about one to the other, and even ourselves barely ever use both their names in the same sentence.

Regarding tropes, I can see a handful of then, but I can't remember their names. Well, there's Unstoppable Rage (I think that's the name), and there's the one about flipping tables. What else?
I'm back, not that anyone cares.

Flipping The Table is more of a Rage Quit. I believe Tantrum Throwing is fine.
UPD: I don't think it's a Berserk Button either, because it's more like a one-time fit of rage because of learning about his nemesis' presence. Berserk Button should be something that can be pushed anytime with the same results. So, Tantrum Throwing it is.

(Also, his behavior isn't exactly heroic.)

I honestly don't believe that's the first time he's heard the name. They're talking about recruitment. He's not JUST NOW finding out that Holmes is there. Erik is just going through the report of all the characters, like they probably have done many times before. I think Beserk Button fits. So does Unstoppable Rage. So does Tantrum Throwing.

Oh wait. I didn't think of that. :|
In that case, Berserk Button fits, too. :D

Good work dil! You're on a roll lately.

Oh God he actually flipped the table. Yes. Just yes. I cannot describe how happy this echo makes me.
Not a distress call. Honest.

This.

It was a textbook Table Flip. I am impressed.

Morgan was......well, underwhelmed, let's just say that.
In life, he suffered from a sense of unreality, as do many Englishmen.
