Off the top of my head

Postby Dryunya on Sat Dec 29, 2012 4:33 am

So, Mr. A's book. Are those his actual thought patterns? Which instantiation wrote this? Was it intended for his personal reading, but got cast into the real world after the incident, or he published it himself? If it's the latter, what was he hoping for?
Also, it was a pun, wasn't it? :gurt:

I emailed Miranda about this. No one replied. I feel hurt. :(

Of course it was a pun. Don't you know how we think yet? Gawd.

Miranda never read it, so she wouldn't know.

It was written by an instantiation who was a Very Bad Writer. If you look closely, you'll see that it's a hundred or so pages of YOU HAVE FAILED US or something to that effect. I assume one of the Agents published it so that the wall piece could be hidden inside of it.

I jokingly was going to ask for the pages that got removed in order to hollow out the book, but it was pointed out to me that i really didn't need slightly singed papers saying the same sentence repeatedly for several hundred pages.
I smiled when the wall was built, for I knew we were creating something incredible. And I smiled when it cracked, for the world would soon see what we had wrought.

I do know that there were a few fun variations included in the book, including some things that appear only once in the entire book.

I don't know if they're still around in the final version; they were probably in the hollowed-out parts. Oh well. :D

I have a bunch of spare pages from the cut out section, if anyone wants them.

...I actually brought all the cut out pages home with me. So I have around 700 of them. And if anyone wants them, they are more than welcome to have them.

But yes, I put the book together. I'm rather proud of it, even with some messed up spaces on the cover =P Cutting out those pages was super time consuming, I'll have you know. But when I made it, there are a few lines in the book that are not "YOU HAVE FAILED US" or "WE ARE VERY DISAPPOINTED." They are somewhere in those 700 :gurt:

"GURT" and "ALL ACCORDING TO PLAN" are part of the regularly repeated sequences. There are 4 totally unique bits that only occur once in all the pages.

We are working on ways to get swag to people. We'll let you know when it's all been decided :) Or we will ask you all about it. That second one is actually more likely.

I'd like one, then. A souvenir of this ARG would prove most valuable to me.
Apparently, slightly less weird than most of you.

Things like this which cost money would have to be paid for or crowdsourced.

Incredibly late, but this is an awesome idea. Disclaimer: in no way can I participate, so none for me. But I think it should go up on Amazon.... (maybe with a compilation of the refics?)
