Crossing Arms

What was up with the videos that cut to shots of Mr. Administrator crossing his arms? We discussed it to death, but those discussions never got anywhere. Was there any reason for it at all? If not, why bother filming that and editing it into the videos?

That was a way of cutting from two different takes from the same angle. A graceless, sometimes necessary, solution.

Mr. A even stated he did that when editing together a video from multiple instantiations, which is essentially the exact same thing.

A lot of those videos had to be changed at the last minute, either to remove or reorder sections based on the order of events that actually occurred in game. At least one of the most egregious arm-crossing was, I think, caused by one such last-minute change that would have resulted in a jump cut. It was held for too long partly because I wasn't paying close enough attention and partly because I didn't want to have to re-cut the music. I didn't realize how stupid it looked until the video had already gone up.

That said, I can neither confirm nor deny that that was the cause of all such arm-crossing.

I remember us speculating that he was doing that, but I didn't remember him confirming it.

Okay, moving on.
