Mr. A's benefaction

Postby Dryunya on Thu Jan 10, 2013 2:51 pm

  1. How did he contact the detectives? I'm assuming he didn't show his face, because otherwise we'd know the benefactors' identity much sooner.
  2. What were his activities limited to?
  3. Considering that he got them the means of transportation and everything: did he spend any money? Because Mr. A being a cheapskate is so much of a Running Gag that I'm starting to think that he has no money at all. =P
  4. Why didn't he resolve the conflict between the detectives, and was generally pushing them around? I know that "plot" is an answer, but that reasoning sounds more like something Deanna would say. ;)

1. Presumably through his agents.
2. "Limited to"?
3. He is more of a tightwad than Scrooge.
4. His agents kind of flaked out on him toward the end of their service, if you recall. They never exactly jumped on new tasks with any sort of eagerness because they typically never got paid.

1. Could also have been screens projected into the real world. Doesn't really matter.
2. ??? !!!
3. He runs Wikis. Gotta pinch every penny. He also finds being a douche fun.
4. He may also have not seen any benefit to getting the detectives to work together. He wasn't working to make them happy (as you guys were). He was working to send them home. He didn't mind it if they were happy, but he didn't exactly spend energy to make them comfortable in the real world.

I'll rephrase my second question: what did he do as their benefactor, and what wouldn't he do even if it was sensible to ask?
If that doesn't make sense either, I blame my sleep schedule.

Raikes would have to answer that, I think.
