What was the letter? Was it a refic? Who wrote it? Why did it go to Joe?

Mark wrote it. It was originally intended as a letter released after everyone else went back as Fridge Horror, revealing he had never been sent back. Unaware of Connor and Mark's plans, I had absolutely established that Dracula was sent back at one point.

Therefore, we reread it and determined that it worked as a refic. It was some of the best quality writing done for the game and there was no way we were not going to release it. So we found a simple excuse (Joe checking his mail backlog when he got home) and published it.

Mark can tell you more about the original intent of the letter, prior to the "it is a refic" edit and retcon.
