Calendar puzzle

Postby Dryunya on Thu Jan 03, 2013 8:55 am

I had this question for a while, good thing I remembered. Tara gave a hint through the calendar. Why in the world would she do that?

That should mean that she both knows that Deanna is after her (and she knows where she is), and is pinned, unable to say anything directly. And there are still more private means of sharing information, if she didn't want to make it public. Not to mention that the hint was sooo subtle, it's a miracle we got it. So, what was the reasoning behind the puzzle?
I have attempted to suppress my inner hyperspace future gardener crying out against all the injustice I am committing.

First reason was for the sake of the puzzle. I thought it would be fun.

In story reason, it's because Deanna was after her, and she knew that somehow or another, anything she said might be hacked/overheard/whatever. The puzzle itself was also a way to point to her fellow puzzle-maker.

Deanna, of course, adored this development as it added an element to her 'story'.

Really real reason? This additional puzzle was added at a late date, originally the info would've just been explained outright, or at least differently.
