Lack of Submissions for Gulliver Refic

In discussions with other players, no one else said that they sent in a refic for Gulliver. Was mine really the only one you received? I'm not looking for any sort of "don't worry it would have been good enough even if it hadn't been the only one" reassurance; I'm not that insecure. I'm just curious. The lack of submissions for Gulliver was one reason I wrote as many refics as I did. I couldn't bear the thought that the deadline for a character would pass without a single refic being submitted.
What would you have done if you hadn't received any refics at all, for him or for any of the other characters? Is that one of the scenarios you made a video for that you didn't show us? :p

If we didn't have any Gulliver stories, we probably would have said he cannot be refictionalized for a good while, because the whole point of the deadline was to catch him while we knew where he was. Perhaps we would have separated him and LJS from one another for awhile, and you guys would have had to lead them to one another again in order to refic Gulliver.

Mr. A would probably not have been happy, to say the least. Of course the deadlines were kind of arbitrary and put in place as a means to give you guys time to work on refics without worrying that someone else's would suddenly get picked while you were halfway finished with yours. We were fully prepared to acknowledge a lack of submissions as a refusal to refictionalize a character, and that was an acceptable way to play the game.
Unfortunately, such was not the case with Gulliver. I think part of the reason was that we set the deadline too soon, because I know a lot more people planned to submit works. It didn't help that the original material was less than accessible. But everything worked out for the best because your fic was quite solid. =)
I will admit, throughout this game we were worried about what to do if we didn't get a strong-enough submission for one of the characters, but fortunately that never happened. We had a lot of very good writers among the Metagaurds.
