Originally the Prosecutor was actually Manfred Von Karma, unnamed.

But his costume was too difficult.

Fact. The main reason was that the prosecutor being Manfred was a huge clue to Pan's trope comic, as I believe he is still the trope picture, but you guys got it anyway.

In many ways, this is better. The prosecutor being Manfred would have required a ton of handwaving.

I also approved of this 0 much.

Yeah, I will confess to being blinded by fanboyism on this one. It works with the fact that non-public domain characters could have crossed over unnoticed, as we hint at... but this would have been too direct and complicate things greatly.

Wound up becoming canon in a sideways manner, when Mr. A admitted to seeding the courtroom with tropes. From that game.

I was a fan of making him Von Karma, but as the producer of those videos I had to create the character from scratch... so I didn't let him be Von Karma. The guy who played him was pretty fantastic in making the character, though. I gave him a basic understanding and he rolled with it smashingly.

Confession time:

When I got given the Pan storyline I'd never played Phoenix Wright, so I had _no idea_ who MVK was. I did a little digging and watched a couple of YouTube clips but was painfully aware that he was a copyrighted character so anything I wrote would have to rely on inference rather than direct reference. Glad it worked out though

It was pretty obviously an Expy of him.

I thought he was too hammy. Looks like that was actually expected of him.

Needed to hit his head against the wall for the expy to be complete.

And snap his fingers in the most annoying way possible.
