Rankings Systems? Do we need to add things like points for things like number of posts or number of threads?

Nah, people might start posting just to boost points.

Then what would we give points for?

Field work

Ed came up with titles for people doing field work so, whenever people do that.
Only problem is, I think it's unfair on people who are in other countries.

Field Work?
What do you mean by "Field Work?"
What about things like importances of posts for the people who don't really go out on the field?

Oh yeah, I live in another country and I didn't ven thought of it.
Maybe we... could give them to people that can make analysis of video and sound?
Well, I don't know.

Things like Accela visiting the statue.

I can't really go to various locations across the world. My parents would never allow me to go across the world so I can help my friends on the Internet fix a Fourth Wall and stop fiction from coming out of it. They would never believe me! Also, I'm also in a state of economic struggle, so I can't really do much that involves money except post on this forum on the computer that I got from my school and converse with the Major Characters. Do you understand what I'm in?

I'm cool with Meta-Knights. The hyphen differentiates us from MetaKnight lol.

You're in the same position as most of us. But the people who are capable of getting out and doing things do deserve something, since they are going the extra mile for the rest of us.

No.
Let's assume we have the Meta-Knights as the Field Work guys.
Everyone else is working on the analysis and stuff like that. No "merit" to that unless you're somehow going the extra mile, and besides, I'm not a Video Wiz Why would I get such a title if I noticed some stuff onscreen and someone else did the hacking to prove it?
Do not agree. Live in another country? No one will hold it aganist you. But somehow you went out of your bedroom do help the WTF. Yes, then you deserve a Honor Title.
I'm in Brazil, if it matters to the point. No field work for me and I don't want a half-assed, every-one-has-it title.
Accela for First Knight!

Okay but what about the people who are on the mailing list or who are trying to get on the Witch's campaign? do they still get the title?

I imagine Field Agent work could be spreading the word, like helping Don Quixote with those labels (which will also conveniently bring people to this site as well.) You don't need to necessarily leave your city to help with real world objectives.

I'm opposed to any suggestion of creating titles for the sake of having titles. The fact of the matter is, there are some people involved in this game that have gone out of their way to leave their house, drive to some distant location, spending time they could've spent with friends, spending money they could've spent on clothes or food, just so that we can make progress in our game. These people definitely deserve something, and a title hardly seems enough, but it is something. To give the same or a similar award to people who sat on a computer, going no where and spending no money on parking or gas, seems to devalue the contributions of the few who really deserve it.
It's just a title. Not everyone should get one, and we should all be okay with that. Let's reward the ones who deserve it, I mean REALLY deserve, and the rest of us just try to contribute the best we can. It's not a competition, and it shouldn't be treated as such.

Trying to get the position is no different than trying to solve Holme's case.
Whoever
actually becomes the manager should have a "Witch's Manager" written in
green letters though. That would be very fitting.
But that's kind of throwing more and more work to Ed, you know? I don't think we should keep trying to get titles for ourselves and, instead, focus on the title for the Field people.

Yup. I second this.

I'm not trying to get a title for myself. I just think it's better if everyone has the opportunity to earn one.

That sounds fair and all, but it detracts from the value of earning a Title. Perhaps some idea will emerge later, but save for the field work, there's nothing really worth a honor title going on.
Like I said, becoming the Witch's Manager could warrant one. But having knowledge of After Effects? Knowing how to photoshop? Meh, you can put that on your bio. That's your
profile, in other words,
what you are not your
merit, not
what you did.

Right now, I've been following everything related to the ARG, tried to get the psychiatrist to go to the vet to see what type of cats she has, trying to get a hint from the Cat about the Riddle, asking the Witch where she is right now, asking Mr. A questions, decoding info about characters, joining the RP thread, being a major part of both the Drinking Game and the Pun Thread, Created and still trying to get people to go to the MLP:FiM thread, finally making a TV Tropes page for my troper, vandalized most of your pages and are following most of you on Twitter! WHAT ELSE IS THERE TO DO TO GET A TITLE?

Halfway through the thread I just knew it's going to turn into a fight over who gets the titles.
Seriously, people. Get a grip.
