Gathering More Help

The Metaguards have done a good job so far with trying to figure things out and finding more of these characters, but these two real world objects we've needed to get (the bottle and now the notebook) have proven that we need to find a way to get more people helping us to increase our abilities to find future objects in the real world, or at least find better ways to get help for these things. If Chesire's
tweet recently is to be taken seriously, there may be others trying to get the same objects we are, and they may not be friendly/on our side. We need to prepare for a situation where we may not have unlimited time to find these objects. If that's the case, it's time to discuss ways to find more players/metaguards to prevent such a situation.
I know some of us joined in from
Unfiction, but the thread over there kind of stopped updating after awhile. The community at Unficiton could seriously bolster the size of our group and help us with all sorts of things, especially things like finding objects outside the internet. We might want to open up some form of communication with the members there (that aren't already here) to see if we could get their help.
Any other ideas? Maybe a way we could spread the word about The Wall Will Fall?

Well...we could always start Entry Pimping it on TV Tropes and see what happens. Also may want to create some collapsible folders for the Acts in the timeline to lessen attacks of Archive Panic. Other than that, those who are involved in social networking (probably just about everyone but me) should start bringing it up all over the sites that they frequent. The unfiction idea is also a good one.
Give me more time to come up with ideas. I'll let you know if I get anything good.

Definitely a problem about new players joining is that there is a lot of info to catch up on, and it IS a little chaotic to sort through it all for the important bits, so cleaning up the timeline and making the Wall Will Fall Trope page an actual page (not a placeholder) is definitely a good idea if someone's up to doing it.

Sicon has a point. While the timeline is pretty good, the trope page is mostly "derpity derpity derpity gurt".
So it could be a lil better.

Or maybe on the tropes pages, for Poirot, Cheshire, Holmes, The Witch, Romeo and Juliet, and Quixote, Silver and Gulliver, we could add a trope linking to the ARG.

Yes, go ahead and do that.
Is anyone on right now
from Unfiction? If so maybe they can resurrect the thread in their forum to get new members?

So I can edit the pages now? Because I'm new to TV Tropes.

You should be able to, but if you haven't done so before it might be better to leave it to someone else.

I'll be working on it now, thanks. I'll ask you or Sicon or Scarab for help if I need to.

Bumped the
Wall Will Fall Thread on Unfiction. Hopefully I can convince a few of the players over there to give us a hand.

I'd be glad to help, but I barely have any friends on my side of the ocean, let alone yours.

I'll make some edits to the ARG page, though. I wanted to do that for a long time now.

I've started a character sheet on TV Tropes. I don't have time to develop it at the moment so if anyone's free, give it some love.

Thanks. I don't think posting on a works page is a god idea as they aren't actually connected beyond use of the characters.

Thanks to whoever moved the links to the character sheet. I've started to expand but I'm going out for a while. I'll continue when I get back.

I was wondering if someone could fix the name of the article. It's still called a Webvideo, but at this point it obviously isn't just a webvideo anymore.
I'm new on Tvtropes and it'd take a while for me to look up how you change a page's name... Well, less longer than it'd take for you to just change it.

I've been ranting to hell and back about the Web Video namespace back in the megathread, but the Web Original is deprecated, and there is no namespace for the ARGs. I have no idea what to do about it.

I'm a long time lurker... But fresh out of the water when it comes to editing... So I won't mess with the pages to avoid breaking the place...
In the end, I don't think I'll be of much use on this... Most of my conctacts are either from here or from real life... And, well, brazillians. It's HARD to actually find one who can speak english, let alone one who can and is willing to join the ARG. I did call some of them though. I just don't think that any of them will join.

Would you mind linking us to that part of the megathread? I'm not sure if I get what you mean.
Also, I don't think the main page of this site is very inviting, which could pose a problem for people who find the Don Quixote stickers and are led here. It's just update after update on the main page, without a simple and short explanation of what the heck this site is about.

The forum doesn't have search within the threads. It's unlikely I'll find it there.
Some offtop: while looking into the older megathread posts, I found that Raikespeare's blog wasn't locked when we had just found Poirot, and it even had some Belgian-related stuff. If I were more Genre Savvy back then, I'd copy the hell out of it.

You know, seeing how I've gotten hooked on looking through the tropes of shows into actually watching them, making sure the Wall Will Fall tropes page is stuff actually in the game and not stuff on the forums might be helpful.

Anyone else have any ideas? Maybe make a facebook page for it?

Yea, I mentioned that social networking would be good, and we are currently using the Witch's campaign to attract more players, in case you missed that.
Also, I started a thread in general for specific modifications that people think should be made to the TV Tropes page so that it doesn't get cluttered here.
