Well, if he can't get here, I don't see the reason to kick him off. If what he said about himself isn't true, we're going to edit the hell out of him anyway. :gurt:

Agreed. I posted more or less this on the megathread just now. Well, I'm going to rest for a bit, then plot out what tropes I can use for all of you guys.

Welcome to my world. I feel your pain, but at least the misery is spread around... I'm going to stop posting for a bit, and no one is on right now, so I should be easier than usual to catch up.

Hum... I'm still trying to master the editing tools... So I'm not sure I'll be editing the pages anytime soon... :(

If I have anything I'm not sure how to edit in I'll drop it here for you guys. Also, that Witch quote was awesome indeed! :gurt:

Go in and add a Pot Hole to your troper page in that quote. I'll try and make you a section along with the ones I have planned for Dryu, Adell, and Xana. (Those are not all that I have planned, but that's all I'm probably going to get to today)

Guys, hold on. This sounds fun, but practically it could hurt our ability to get new people. People look at TVtropes for the game are not going to care about what WE are doing as much as they care about the GAME.

I guess there is room for us, but we REALLY should focus on codifying everything that isn't us.

We should be doing that as well. We have some ulterior motives in place, but I'll just let you read the sending them back thread for those. I don't want to have to restate them again.

Remember, this thread is for ALL suggested modifications to the tropes page, not just character sheets.

Don't worry, we're still codifying everything else. It's just that editing info on the ARG is easy-automatic. But adding players is a bit more polemic so we talk about it to see if it's ok before doing it.

I'm not getting something. Do you think we should only add character tropes that are relevant to the ARG or not? Correct me if I'm wrong, but these two statements of yours kind of contradict eachother.

Sicon112 wrote:As such, what if we began adding tropers involved with the ARG to the character sheet, giving tropes that they use within the plot of the ARG?

Sicon112 wrote:Those with trope pages of their own make things easier, since we can reuse pieces of those as applicable.

By which I mean that tropes used by the characters in the ARG most likely cannot be found on their own trope pages.

I'm being dumb here, but what's a Pot Hole exactly?

Why should they contradict each other? I say "If applicable". Some people may be updating stuff they have done in the ARG to their tropes pages, and others may have tropes such as Xanatos Speed Chess which describe their tendencies. As such, all that second quote is suggesting is a way out for lazy people.

Well, in this case you want to edit the line to link your name to your troper page. The format for that would be @/{{Troperhandle}}. So the reason my name their links to my tropes page is that someone wrote it as @/{{Sicon112}}. Get it?

Oh, right, I got it. I think I was already doing that anyway, I just didn't realise that's what it was called. Cheers.

Fair enough, sorry for nitpicking ;)
And about the trope page: Those four lines of bold text are not exactly easy on the eyes. At least, not for me. Anyone agree?

Hey guys, I'm just here to say sorry about adding my name in to the characters list (I may have apologised on TV Tropes but I'll get far more attention here)

Plus I'm just join in whereever I can. So yeah.

Kicked off Dryu and Adell with a trope or two. If anyone wants to change stuff I did, go ahead. It's not like I'm actually any good at this editing business yet.

I added PixelMages quote and few metaguard names (didn't fill any of them out though)

Any quote suggestions for you and Dryu? I need to put in some. Also, on normal character pages, and even the ones above for the real characters, there is a section below the quote with an overview. Are we adding those in?

I can probably pick out some fitting quotes for us, not sure what you mean with the second question though. :?

Edit: Oh, we should also make both sections collapsible, since they're both bound to get very big.

Agreed on the edit. As to the first part, I meant stuff like this section under Mr. A:

The Administrator of TV Tropes who you may know from Echo Chamber. He informed the players of the collapse of the wall, and has given infrequent updates throughout the ARG.

We should definitely have that for all the fictionals, and I guess if players feel like adding one for themselves/players feel another troper should have one...then add it. Doesn't really do any harm.

OK, I was just curious. I had some of them thought up in my head for a couple of you, but I seem to have forgotten what I was gonna write. Oh well. If I think up something, I'll add it.
