What haven't we done yet?

Postby Flitterbie on Thu Oct 11, 2012 11:07 pm

I'm sorry if there's already a thread for this, but...

Apparently we're forgetting something.

Besides the notebook, what haven't we taken care of yet?

I'm trying to figure that out. Maybe something about protecting Don Quixote? Helping Gulliver and LJS, somehow? I don't know of any direct action that makes sense in regard to most of these cases.

Beyond the Notebook, which should be a priority, Don Quixote's armor still needs to be found, and...uh, That's all I got.

I considered that we may be meant to act to get his phone back, but Mr. A said what we were meant to do was "WELL DOCUMENTED", and we don't nearly have enough info. I'm going over every tab I've got looking for the clue now.

Okay, I finally got a more specific reply. https://twitter.com/YouHaveFailedUs/status/256593724358938624

TAKEN SERIOUSLY, THE WITCH'S CAMPAIGN IS LIKELY TO YIELD DIVIDENDS OTHER THAN SIMPLY "ELECTING HER PRESIDENT".

Apparently we're supposed to focus some effort on spreading word about the Witch.

Well printing the posters and helping with her campaign, sure. Were we ignoring that?

No. We just got the posters today, and then there was the fiasco where we realized she was watching us, so we haven't had time to act yet. I'm pretty sure we are getting serious about he whole thing tomorrow.

The Unsmiler... What.
The voices in my head tell me that we saved the world. However, they also told me that George Clooney's face is on the dollar bill, so... meh. The voices are more fun, anyway.

Stay on topic! No matter how absolutely hilarious and awesome that tweet was.

Our current plan of action is to find someone in the boston area to help us. We might need to go looking through the tropers list like we did last time, cause currently I don't think there are any metaguard's in that area again.

Alright. Does someone with a bit more experience with the 'known' side of TV Tropes want to handle that part? Just ask if they can make a call, pick something up, and then scan it. No real cost except whatever time/gas it takes to get to the place. We do need to move fast, so I will try to think of other ways to get people over there.

We could also try posting an ad on Craigslist for Boston. The trouble with that is I could imagine somebody responding to the ad but proving to be unreliable and not getting back to us with the information we need.

Yea, I know. That would royally screw us over. Also, how would we compensate them? Someone's Paypal? Cause I don't have one...

Weren't we all supposed to put up those warning stickers for Quixote and take pictures of them?

Um, not that I've done that either.

I donno, people might respond to the ad just for fun. The Craigslist thing actually seems like a good plan. Certainly worth trying.

OK, if you are sure. We do run the risk of getting someone unreliable, though. I doubt it will happen, but you never know...

Two problems:

1. How do we pay?
2. How do we make sure we get someone who'll actually do it?

That's the issue. We can't really do the first unless someone wants to donate some cash to the cause, and there is no way to really reliably do the second.

Agreed. If no leads turn up by about halfway through tomorrow, we should implement the Craigslist plan. Sound acceptable?

Man I don't even know what Craigslist is but it sounds like a possibility. It's quite hard to take real world action with the people we have (unless the GM's start deliberately staging stuff in our local areas, which I suppose is always a possibility in the future).

As to the Witch's campaign, we've literally, as you say, only just started. Early days yet, but she demands action.
They sometimes say, "the place where I am right now was circled on a map for me"... Unfortunately, I kind of suck at orienteering.
