Both of these have a single user registered: localadmin. Pretty default name for when you set up a server and start trying out the tools just to be sure you can handle the tasks.
Meta reasoning sugests that these localadmin@ezblog.co where testing grounds for the ARG, and left there to be Red Herrings in case someone swept the domain names (Dryu and I both did it).

The cake guy? Username Rick and the blog is active. These localadmins? Meh... No activity from them whatsoever.
Therefore, Rick and efp are related, if only to foreshadow or to play a bigger role I don't know, the others, I don't have reason to believe they deserve attention. Besides, I've already scanned each pixel in that damn manga blog when I found out about the IP address (the IP address is a dead end).

I'm supposed to be able to understand that, but for some reason I didn't. :( Could you say the Theme Park Version of it? :D

The bensmanga and cf blogs only have the user "localadmin" registered. If they were important, I'm pretty sure the usernames would actually be names. Like Rick on efp.

Oh. Good point. A very good one!
But I'll still keep updating those. :gurt:

So I finally read through the whole efp blog (I'd skimmed bits of it before; didn't feel like dedicating a whole lot of time to something that seemed tangential) and now I have what strikes me as a crazy theory. This is mostly inspired by the dream entry.

I think Rick might be an instantiation of Mr. A that was disintegrated by Administrator Prime. Somehow, he wound up in reality believing himself to be an ordinary human. Maybe there are other instantiations walking around, living ordinary lives after being eliminated from the Void.

Rick's been around since before he had that dream, so I'm thinking the dream may just be a memory from long ago, emerging in his subconscious while he sleeps.

In plain language: The gamemasters made the Ben's Manga blog as practice in advance for the ARG. They also made early (pre-September) posts on Tara's blog and on Rick's blog, since they're both supposed to have been in the real world since before the wall broke.
Then they made the dandelion blog for laughs, and left that and the Manga one in existence so that, once we started searching, we wouldn't know for sure which ones were relevant.

That could. Justify the localadmin users on the other blogs too. But it still does not make sense as to why they have not updated...
And Rick being an instatiation... Well... I don't know what to think of it.

I don't know if that theory fits with the fantasy-limits of the game. Maybe we should try asking Mr A what happens to instantiations who get terminated?

It would imply we have Mr. A's instatiations leaking which we would also have to deal with. I think it fits the metaverse model, as the fictionals have to go through the void to get here, it should be possible for anything in the void to drop here... But, yes, we should ask... I'm not sure he'll answer though... Let's hope the #woobiesintantiation get's the message. He seems cooperative.

He says he's making the soup (from the Phantom post) on Tuesday-- I guess we should keep our eyes open for Phantom (or Christine)-related activity on Tuesday, then.

I'm going to request an Arthurian legend -related food, and see how he takes it. Maybe we can get confirmation of Morgana.

Hurray! I did something to advance the story!

Ooooooh yea, he is foreshadowing. What that is supposed to tell us I don't know yet, but hey...

He made Frankenstein meatballs on October 19th.

I'm scanning the blog for that link just to confirm it, but I can't find a date for it.

Was it something he mentioned offhand?

Just do 'ctrl+f' Frankenstein.

I'm not sure suggesting dishes is the best idea. When he comes up with dishes himself they're always related to new characters, so we should just let him do it.

I asked Mr. A how this foreshadowing may be possible, in case he is a regular person with a piece of the foreshadow machine lodged in his head. :D

Also, Blinus (the Ben's Manga owner) has finally tweeted me back:
Benjamin Plante wrote:Wow, that's old. Yup, I was gonna maintain that but decided not to.

Basically, we have a confirmation that the blog is both unrelated and abandoned. (But I'm still going to check on it. :gurt: )

Connection between Erik and cheesy oatcakes? Unlikely.

The only thing that I think might be a "message" (to us?) is this:
efp wrote:Anyhow, as I said at the beginning, not everything is going to work.

Or... wait, actually...
He's saying all this stuff about how the Christine soup didn't work because "the various flavours didn't muddle at all", and that he wished he'd had less of it at once.

This is a group-related dish. Maybe he's saying that they're not as cohesive a group as they seem? That they've bitten off more than they can chew?
...or that we have, and that any one of these four alone would be a formidable enemy.

Curse these ambiguous wordings!

Found it. Passed over it by mistake, haha.

Oh, that reminds me. Have we confirmed every identity of the Cabal? We should suggest dishes for them as well, if we already haven't.

According to the Cat, the riddle he let to us, and I solved, take us to believe that the members of the Cabal are Moriarty, Phatom, Don Juan and (Morgana) LeFey

Dryunya wrote:Update.

The Phatm of the Opera thing: he suggested before doing. That probably means something.

Maybe it's a hint that stuff isn't going as planned for the Cabal? It wasn't what they intended? Cabal does something bad and then we all team up and save the Wall?

...We're recieving metaphorical information about a bunch of fictional characters via a food enthusiasts experimental cookery blog.

Just a normal day, then.

Maybe whoeveer this is they're trying to communciate with us and even WANT to do so more clearly, but are also afraid of the possible reprecussions.

All right, let's work with that. Do you think there's a way we can phrase a comment or food request to convey "message received"?

"Hi, Rick. I made the recipe you described and invited a whole *crowd* of friends over to taste it. We all confirm your impressions of the dish. Thanks for posting it! By the way, have you ever made lime cookies?"

(note: I am not actually posting this comment. Unless someone thinks I should.)

Personally, I like that, provided nobody else here thinks that's a little too direct?

Or perhaps something like:

"I always have a little trouble understanding recipes -I get confused because there are so many different things you have to do at once and multitasking is hard, but this makes perfect sense to me, thanks for the clear information." Aaaand then add something like what you just said, about a Cabal of friends?

Have somebody else suggest lime cookies, perhaps in the form of another question?
