I'll ask Mr. A again (but I think he hates me now -_-). If he doesn't give us more information, I don't know how we may get this discussion any further.
It could be an extremist who wishes to free the characters trapped in fiction, because he wants them to have free will. Said extremist may not even wish to collapse the complete wall, of course, it could be just collateral damage to him.

That was mostly my point. But even the individual or group, that thinks they can benefit either doesn't get what they want, gets more than they bargained for, or for lack of a better word Ark of The Covenant.

Power play is also possible. If I could cross to the world of fiction into a omnipotent being, who cares about a few fictionals running loose or the end of reallity. Yeah, pretty comic book villany, but what the hell, it's still one possibility.

Actually that's a pretty good point Pixelmage.

Which means that the villain is a terminally depressed escapist Basement Dweller who wants to live in a better world.

Thanks for yet another wonderful mental image, Dryu. You are getting way too good at that.
In any case, there really isn't enough info right now to do more that WMG. 'Course, we happen to be really good at doing that, but still...

Ok now that's freaky. I am a bit of an escapist myself.

Getting paranoid now...

But one thing I think we all can agree on is that the collapse of the wall may just be a side effect for our opponent's goal.

I know that my theory used to hold a little bit of weight but what if they are servants of something on the other side of the wall trying to let it in. An old thread of mine asked what if something really powerful was trying to smash through the wall and created the cracks (or at least made them larger). Maybe they are servants of said beast.

I think that got semi-jossed, so if we want to bring that up we may have some re-working to do.

We have two threads on the same topic right here. Could we continue discussing this on the other one?

Yes, I'm sorry, that's not what I meant >.<
The subject in this thread right now is the same as the subject of the thread you created.

"No, tropers. You Are The Demons."

(But, you know, we have abandoned this theory on the basis of common sense.)

Ok so the key points are:
There could be an opposing force.
There could be a traitor.
And there are threats of a similar nature going to both Joe and Joan.
Did I leave anything out?

A traitor to who? To us? To Joe? To the characters?

It would be rather difficult to say there's a traitor when anyone could read any thread here or else where and get the same information.

ree264 pointed out the possibility of one. He didn't specifically say to whom though.

To us, most likely. Joe doesn't seem to know any specific people, and I don't see how there could be a traitor to characters (unless you mean LJS, but that's not part of the big picture imo)

Joe may not know anyone that could betray him, but odds are there could be people on the site that came on to spy rather than discuss.

That could also be a possibility. The only problem is that in that case it could be anyone.

Could there be a way for the opposing force to get in contact with each other? if there is we could possibly hack into that and maybe get some info
