Not until we know who it is, or at least where they are and what the heck they want.

Another question is, if it can take the form of an archetype, is it a single shapeshifter character or something else? Something that's made from the dregs of tropes, the shards of multi-purposed tropes that don't get used from one book to the next?

I dunno about that. The guy seemed to be speaking metaphorically. I'll go over the transcripts some more, but the solid info we have is pretty sparse. I need to start comparing these messages to the letters Joe read. See if we can find parallels in tone and such.
Then we need to try and see about locating offhand references to possible suspects from other parts of our database. For example, the possible link to the Dutchman from Sherlock's blog never came up with.

Now, to the point. Mr. A said that he can't tell us the consequences, as the wall has never collapsed before. (Duh). I had a brilliant idea that's consistent with the model (which automatically gives it bonus points) - simulate the collapse in a sub-universe. He said it's an interesting idea.

...I only thought about the moral implications a minute later.

Here's a question. Would a psychological theory count as fiction? WMG.

Or maybe Mr. A can come up with a way to simulate it that doesn't uproot a bunch of characters from their home.

Scarab wrote:I'll tell you what, though. A psycholocial theory may not count as a fiction... but a CONCEPT might. Anything that's been around for a very, very long time. There are personificaions of those all over the places from the obvious ones (Ares is War, Loki is Tricksters, etc) to the not so obvious (would there, for example, be a personification of nihilism? Or or a place, like a tower or a bridge or something?)
