I am going off topic a bit since this reminds me of the Spy Greetings thread, but Cheshire as the dry cleaning lady, could be warning her in code. He is good at riddles after all.

I think someone suggested we should pick up her dry cleaning.
And then I wrote a giant essay on why that was a silly idea because the only information we have is that she works in Boston and the clothes in question were "ready" a few days ago.

Boston. Probably. That's all we know. Furthermore, we would need, at the lowest security level, her HOME phone number. I work at a dry cleaner, I know this stuff.

Or or a place, like a tower or a bridge or something?)
There's a funny thought I've just had.
If we assume that the most well-known and uncopyrighted characters spawn first, AND that God does not exist, he WILL be the first to spawn, as a fictional creature and the best-known one. We'd have a freaking Second Coming on our hands.
We didn't, so either our hypothesis isn't true, or in EC canon, God is real.
(Or GMs simply couldn't prepare themselves to stuff like this.)Science, beatches.

(If anyone wants to argue on that matter, make a new thread, as that argument can be very, very long.)
At what point in the line is it Satan's turn?

That was me, and I was joking. Well, half joking. I don't think we literally need to pick up her dry cleaning, yet I'm not quite convinced that that message was put in there just for flavor. It may not be important now, but it may be important down the line.

Something just hit me, what if the dry cleaning is a trap. Many killers often use lures to get their victims, Bundy once posed as a handicapped man to trick a girl into helping him lift something into his truck.

I would imagine a dry cleaners is a pretty public place. Too risky.

True but judging by the threats prior. Most are fictional killers, the type that attack in public places and get away asap.

Probably second. And there's no way we'd miss the coming of Satan.

Dude, that's boring. Cthulhu is clearly fictional. Don't you see my triumph? All we need is to prove our "popular characters" hypothesis, and we'll prove the existence of God! (Which will then disappear in a Puff Of Logic)

Given all the potential myths and ideas that may have existed even before christianity started making the rounds? He's actually probably somewhere towards the back. Unless he's just the latest incarnation of a very, very old idea (evil, or temptation or something), in which case he's probably already here.

He's from as late as...what is it, the forties or something? Maybe we don't have to worry about him jsut yet, not outside of the coffee room anyway.
