Hi, I just learned about the entire WTF thing, didn't watch the Echo Chamber though. I didn't want to join yet, because my exams are next week, but I enjoy writing and this caught me so I wrote. Yeap. I'll be sending the story over now but is there any minimum length for the story? Just curious.
If you can make it better, don't make it sentient.

I don't think there's a minimum stablished. Just write a good story, no need to worry about word count.
Also, welcome. New help is always a plus. Take a look at the "Useful Links" sticky and read through the timeline to catch up when you have the time. ;)

There's still time, right? I really wanna write something, but there's this huge Intro to Ethics monster biting me in the but and putting the fear of Jesus into my soul. It's like this whole good angel/bad angel scenario going on...
The voices in my head tell me that we saved the world. However, they also told me that George Clooney's face is on the dollar bill, so... meh. The voices are more fun, anyway.

I'm not sure if that kind of situation leads to the BEST of all possible writing or the worst, it's a bit hit and miss with me :s

Still I've read your RPG stuff. Dude. You should totally enter this.

The sad part is, "putting the fear of Jesus into your soul" were my professor's exact words. Good Lord.

But I will make time. I was thinking about this today and my head was swimming with scenarios. I'll read the Guardians' stories, look up some lore on Medusa, and get cracking with the approximately 30+ hours I have left.

Enter it, we need SOME sort of story being submitted. I would prefer not having to deal with someone who can turn people to stone.

The time limit is 72 hours from the creation of this topic. That was about 7 pm Sunday, my time, which means the due date is 10 pm Wednesday your time, Isla (I think I have the time zones right).

I'll sit down with my playlist of Two Steps From Hell and try to come up with something similar to MY RPG posts tonight. Unless you guys think that would be overkill...

It's Medusa. There Is No Kill Like Overkill. :gurt:

(I'm going for something pretty understated myself, so it'll be good to have some variety.)

Aaaand then if there was a news report about an entire resteraunt somewhere in the middle of Greece where the patrons turned to stone, we'd blame them

My story was a really generic fight scene :| Oh well, I did my best.

Mine was similar. If I had more time to think about it/more time to get the character's voice, I'd be more confident. But we had 72 hours, so there ya are.

Yeah, I knew if I didn't send it off when I did then I'd just mess around with it and pick at it until waaay past the deadline. I really wasn't all that sure about Angel's character so I had to guess and hope I got her right, and it didn't help that I wrote it in third person present tense... mostly. (I have this annoying habit of changing tenses when I write, I'm trying to stop doing that :x)

I totally understand. I'm fairly rusty, but it felt good to write again. I'll definitely be taking part in these parts of the proceedings. Gotta play to my strengths! :gurt:

Almost done with my story. It's set in the Void. I decided a few things about how the Void worked for purposes of my story.

...and Mr. A just killed a lot of the rules I'd come up with by contradicting them in his AMA.

I think I'll just submit it with my stuff intact. It's nothing huge, but it has an effect on the tone of the story and I think I'd lose a lot if I tried to make it compliant with what I just learned.

My attempt is sent off. I actually didn't read (or know there was ) stuff about the Void floating about, so if it doesn't work that's just too bad, at least I'll know the next time a particularly dangerous Fictional is heading for a crack. We do the best we can with what we have.
I wrote a book. Adding to the far side of the wall.
