Monster on the Other Side

Postby Lordxana0 on Sat Sep 29, 2012 2:25 pm

I am pretty sure this is on topic, if not I would be more than happy to have it moved if needed.

So a while back I came up with a theory that there was something on the Other side of the wall that was making fictional character up and run away. Any theories on what such a thing could be?

Mr. A seems to be one of the main theories so far, together with Joe.

Not the Nemesis I had in mind. A long time ago I was once plauged by weird dreams, there were three recurring elements of it. One I always end up in some fictional universe or another. Two I rarely, but mostly run into Rachel Roth. And three an evil force that is threatening the Multiverse. It had no name I could find so I called it nemesis.

I think that we could call the thing that cracked the wall "Nemesis" until we find out who is it. Anyone disagrees?

Nemesis as in rival? Opposite? The ancient Greek goddess of revenge? We don't even know for sure if there is such a thing. "The Monster" will do, IMO.

That assumes that it was the action of one entity. Or even that it was deliberate at all.

So, what about "Archenemy"? This or the one I said, because those are synonims. We would be referring to our greatest enemy. Even if it's a group. The group would be it.
Or you guys prefer "Mr. Evulz"?

I still think "The monster" suffices for now.

I have been thinking that maybe it isn't a monster but the breaking of the wall is causing a massive wave of nothingness spreading through the world of fiction. Like all of the worlds are being destroyed one by one until nothing is left.

I didn't agree on "The Monster" at first because for me, it seems that a person or a group is breaking the wall. That's the reason I don't agree with it.

I think it's likely that there is someone involved. Now whether they are monstrous or not, I don't know. To be fair though, no 'person of interest' has mentioned the necessity of running away yet, from anything. So there's still the possibility that they are just taking advantage of the cracks and have nothing to do with them.

"The Enemy", then? Since whoever this is, if he exists, he's opposed to us.

Yeah, it's likely that if someone is behind this, the characters escaping may just be an effect of his/her/their actions, not the actual goal. Enemy seems like a fair term.

The Enemy works pretty well for me, too. Thirded.
