Mr. A has posted a new video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W18nixzy ... e=youtu.be if anyone hasn't seen it yet. I think this video could contain something cryptic. The way the shot moves from his face to his hands makes me think...he's pointing at something. but...what? I mean, he wouldn't just do that shot-change for laughs, would he? Well...maybe. But I think it's worth looking into. Hrmmm....

That's what I would think, but the only thing I can think of would be the related videos. But those are random, so it doesn't seem like there would be anything of substance, would there?

I watched the shot of his hands very carefully, and I couldn't find anything. It seems weird to switch to that shot for no reason, so I think there may be some kind of significance, but I don't have enough information to make anything of it.

It does look vaguely like he's pointing at something, but that could easily be just the way his hands go naturally when he crosses his wrists. I'm guessing that either this is an intentional red herring (though if Mr. A wanted to mislead us I'd think he would give us something to further his cause, rather than waste our time) or that it's significant, but we won't understand it until later.

I could be reading into this too much but... was it a pain reaction, maybe? Certainly, he was reacting to something.

Alternatively the hands may become relevant later. You know how characters in crime dramas are sometimes identified as a culprit, who's face has not been seen, when they imitate a twitch or other habit the culprit had? All I'm saying is, watch out for people in future videos making that gesture with their hands. Could tell us something about who this guy is (my bets are on some alternate, metaverse versions of one of the existing Echo Chamber folks... a shadow archetype, maybe?)

Also (again, I may be over reading this) he keeps saying he CAN’T answer our questions. Does that mean he doesn’t know, or that he knows but is unable (or unwilling) to tell us?

True, although maybe that doesn't necessarily mean anything? We don’t even know where this guy came from, much less who (or what) he is. Maybe changing faces is a thing. I'm prepared to consider that the guy ain't actually human.

It's completely possible. Maybe he's what happens when a real individual crosses over into fiction? Or maybe he was made like how our guardians were, but on a much bigger scale. Or maybe he just always existed.

...Exactly how much bigger a scale are we talking here? I mean, if something real becomes something fictional, or in some way combines the two, could that make them something above the laws of reality? Then again he still needs us to work alongside him to do... whatever it is he's trying to do.

Just had a thought, when we saw the empty realm that he and his clones existed in at one point he stepped out of a screen to talk and then he just disappeared. What if Mr. A is the wall and the more cracks appear the harder it is for him to make himself into a human form. The walls has cracks in it and Mr. A is cracking up.

That fits with my theory that he was having a physical reaction to something in the video, however mild.

It would also explain his violent opposition to the characters - their presence destroys him.

I think I'm obsessing over this but I just watched the Echo Chamber mind screw video and I saw at least two instantiations cross their hands in a different way to how they're crossed in the latest video.

Maybe the more the wall breaks parts of him disappear. It could be that he was covering up a piece of him that is disappearing. Wouldn't want to show a sign of weakness. Also this lends true to my theory of the smile being a way to distract us from the hand movement.

It was noted on the TVTropes thread by neverslender that it was possible that the hand movement was a red herring to distract us from the fact that Mr. A swapped instantiations mid video. As evidence, he cites the fact that our monochrome friend seems to change his demeanor and become more emotional after the cut.

Don't have enough experience with the Cake to be qualified to come up with any guesses myself, but since no one had posted that theory here yet, figured I would keep non0tropers up to date.

I've just rewatched Mr. As latest video and I think I noticed something. Just before the shot of his hands (which I still think is showing something) he starts to either say something or breathes in. It then cuts very abrubtly to the shot of his hands. After this Mr. As demeanor changes and he sounds much angrier and more aggressive. Also I think the deep part of his voice gets louder. He gives a very annoyed sounding sigh after the hand shot. Could the videos show two different instantations?

Well, I skimmed through... First, I believe we are to rule out everything TV Tropes-related. He is more of a meta guy, and, besides, he works for The Other Wiki as well, and thus doesn't depend on it. Or does. Srsly, no idea. Maybe we should brute-force him with the guesses? But if I were him, I'd dismiss all of them, and then we wouldn't know which one was true.
