Anymore Slenderman Sightings?

Postby TidalWave20 on Fri Oct 26, 2012 2:33 pm

Has anyone posted more Slenderman sightings since that first video Joe posted?

Has it been confirmed that was actually Slenderman?

Shouldn't we all be on the lookout for this possibly dangerous creature?
How could I be more useful?

In order: No, no and it's been postulated that it's actually something else, possibly but since no one's seen it again we're not too worried right now.

There were several more theories (the death figure (see the timeline), Invisible Man, Frankenstein's monster), and Slenderman contradicts our fanon, according to which older and more famous characters are the ones who cross first. Also, the man in the video isn't particularly slender.
...and, seriously, Slender Man with an umbrella? :)

He seems to fit flwalessly with Frank. No official confirmation, but looking back (The Knight is Quixote, Fairy Dood is Pan...) it's pretty obvious that he's supposed to be Frank.

Yeah, he was a big guy for sure, and covering his face and wearing so many layers was to hide his more monstrous appearance. Makes sense to me.

But I don't think it makes sense, because he would need to be in Greece, and stuff.

Yeah I'm pretty sure that was the Invisible Man or someone, yeah I'm not sure either.

Also speaking of Slendy, the Slender man account that commented on Joe's videos was TheJester.

He told me in a PM

The joke ain't completely old so I think I will keep doing the "Slender Man stalking Joe" thing. I can't help it! Whenever I do it I laugh so hard!

I wish he would make a new video though...

Yeah this was all joke by him.

Just thought that was an interesting fact.

I still think it's The Invisible Man. However, can he see without goggles or shades on his bandages?

Frankenstein is a good theory, because he needs to hide his visage.

The goggles are just to cover the holes where his eyes should be. He can see without them just fine (even though scientifically he shouldn't :) ).

Can we not just ask Frank, or Adam, or whatever his name is? Or would he freak out?

Well, we can ask Mr. A, no problem.

But Frank has difficulties appearing before people... If we simply throw out a video recording of him... He might freak out.

If that was Frank, where did he get the spiffy hat and umbrella?

Considering that most of the fictionals somehow got a hold of a laptop or a phone and know how to use it, I think we're not supposed to worry about some puny umbrella. :gurt:

The Invisible Man is usually shown wearing an old raincoat and goggles. With a briefcase and wrapped in bandages from head to foot. He's not typically shown using an umbrella, but the thing in the video is wrapped in bandages. Well, the head is. And the Invisible Man does wear a suit at times.

Note: If he disappeared, that means during the times the photos were being taken, off screen he was taking off his clothes, unwrapping his bandages and running off naked. Again.

Wouldn't he leave his clothes behind in that case?

In the movie and the book, the policemen or villagers typically thought that they'd caught him during the mass fight in the inn, only to end up with a bunch of clothes.

I see your point. Hmmmmm.....

Pretty sure Adam's implied that it was him, when he described in some of his earlier posts the extents he went to to hide his "disfigurement".
Why are we even arguing about a dead fictional dude and hypothetical ninjas?

but its kind of odd since he's not really that big (which Adam was in the original work) and that he was able to disappear so quickly. Doesn't seem like Adam to me.

"Disappear so quickly" pretty much boils down to "get out of the camera focus", and could be done in seconds. He could just walk away.

But Joe said he emailed the guy taking the video, and he responded saying that nobody at the wedding saw that man there. Adam'd be pretty hard to miss walking around at a wedding dressed like that.

In which case, I believe still, it IS The Invisible Man.

Listen. Mr. A said after Peter that we'd found all the fictionals we need to worry about. So either it WAS Adam, or we don't need to worry about it.

End of story?
