Guys, it's been over 24 hours.

I just want to know when we have to do this. because as much as I would like to do this my parents won't accept "I have to go fight Cthulhu" for an acceptable reason to miss my christmas travel plans.

Ok, I'm starting the voting thread soon, but the polls won't open for another hour or so. I want to give people a chance to withdraw their names if they don't have the means (car and smartphone and lots of time) to accomplish this.

We do need someone with these qualifications in order for the final battle to happen. If you aren't sure you can do it, be careful; once voted in, you can't back down.

There is no shame in withdrawing your name. You may still write fics and songs. We are all in this together. Now let's pick someone who represents all of us!

I'll cut myself out. I don't know where the location is, I don't have smartphone and I had enough trouble explaining to my parents on the cemetery trip.

Well, I do have the car and the time, but I can't guarantee that I'll be able to have a smartphone with me. I withdraw my name.

People need to tell me time and location before I commit myself

Car requirement kills me, 4 days to go is not enough for me to arrange a way to move freely outside the perimeter of my city. Also, my tablet is a Wi-Fi only model, meaning I won't have internet connection unless the meeting place has wi-fi I can use (I'm assuming the App is synchronized, at bare minimum, so that it can be known that I'm in fact at the right place).

I'll have to trust you guys to take the banner up and punch that squid for me. I withdraw.

I want to do this, and I think I will keep my name in, but I really don't have much in the way of transportation. And the GMs are going to have to make sure that the person can get to the place, so that this doesn't go to waste, so.......staying in.

Take me off that list. I never threw my hat into the ring. I simply don't have the means. Not that I don't want to face off against a massive monster and most surely die, but as I said before, no phone, no car, no means of travel, and far too busy. In case this isn't clear:

It's called a campaign, dude. He's saying "(You) Vote for me" not "(I) vote for me."

Alright guys, so it turns out this forum caps off poll options at 10, and for once I'm not really sure technically how to work around that. Part of me feels like this is actually a good thing, though. There has been a certain... glibness around this which I think needs to be addressed.

I know a lot of you are seeing this as a chance to make a grand contribution, but this is not something to be taken lightly. If you fall through, it is literally the worst case scenario -- you need to be there personally, so make sure your plans are foolproof. If you want you parents to drive, make sure they agree beforehand. If you don't have a smartphone, figure out how you are going to get one. We don't have much room for error, and you need to be sure you can do whatever Mr. A requests... even if he asks you to eat a metric ton of catfood or something. I don't know, guy still weirds me out.

Think about this, and let us know if you still want to run. I'm extending the time to drop out, obviously.

I am continuing to volunteer, I have everything available to make the mission successful. And, well as I said in my original post, I feel I have to do this. Now more than ever after today.

I have a car, smartphone, tablet, extra batteries, two wifi hotspots from different providers and a willingness to die! Oh - and my mother says it's ok.

I have transportation and a smart phone and i can borrow my brothers tablet

and 4G capabilities
