To start off, I'll re-dump my Cthulhu song, with lyrics attached: audio

Aaaand here's that borderline example, which is a little more meta and, well, I'd intended to save it for once things were wrapped up. But if it can help, then great: audio

It's to the tune of Ninja Ropes, from Commentary! The Musical.
For both these songs (and any others I might upload)-- I recognize that my singing is terrible. But there is a greater good at play here. Anyone who wants to take what I've got and play around with it, or record yourself singing the same, you are MORE than welcome to do so.

O’er the world or so the echoes told
With stories deep and canon old
We must not fall ere break of wall
To save the world and hope uphold
The metaguards, a motley lot,
Each their own skills and arts they brought
In stories deep, where darkness sleeps,
Their words changed worlds, and spurred their hearts
For Mr. A and fictites crossed
To guard the world and fear accost
They shaped and wrought, and tropes they caught
To weave in tales to help the lost
In Sweeney Todd’s refic they massed
The hope from love, for Pan they cast
A youthful laugh, on Don’s behalf
They crafted true valor at last
O’er the world or so the echoes told
With stories deep and canon old
We must not fall ere break of wall
To save the world and hope uphold
Profiles they built there for themselves
And coffee rooms, where no law dwells
They played their games while fanning flames
Of friendships stronger far than spells
The call came down from Mr. A
Cthulhu’s here, don’t turn away
Take up your arms, and sound the alarms
Take heart in song and don’t give way
Music is chiming strong and bright
The songs are ringing through the night
Through stories clear and songs sincere
We lend our aid to the meta-knight
The fourth wall trembled with the strain
Yet strength came forth no one could feign
Come what may, we’ll save the day
No efforts will be made in vain
O’er the world or so the echoes told
With stories deep and canon old
We will not fall ere break of wall
To save the world and life uphold

...Oh pick the song that makes me CRY why don't you.![]()
To those who don't know, Mercury recorded that song in the late stages of the disease that killed him. he was really ill by the time they got to the studio to record.
I believe his exact choice of words when they questioned his strength in the studio were 'I'll do it, darling.'
He then proceeded to belt out the same version of the song we're listening to today complete with high notes. If that doesn't deserve all the limes in the world, then I don't bloody know what does.

Oh of course, the vodka. How could I forget?
Yeeeah whoever gets picked for this we really need to send them in with some of that.

Hey don't be insensitive. some of us here in the states arent old enough to drink yet. because apparently not being able to buy alcohol until were 21 stops us from paying older friends to get it for us.
Let us be Metaguards,
We'll save the Fourth Wall together
I've got some Walls of Text here in my bag
So we got caught up on tvtropes
And made forum accounts
And walked off to look for A Bright White Void
Edward I said as we searched for an Echo for Morgan,
"Jennifer seems like a dream to me now
It took me four days to write Don a refic
I've come to look for A Bright White Void"
Laughing in the chat
Playing games with our voices
He said, "I think that Guest17 guy's a GM"
I said, "Be careful, I think he might really be Batman"
"Toss me a Wall Piece, please,
I think there's one in Seattle"
"We scanned the last one an hour ago"
So I wrote a Cthulhu fic
He composed a song
And Dilly outwrote all the rest again.
"Edward I'm lost," I said,
Though he was noveltramming
"I'm empty and aching and I don't know why"
Counting the Guards who signed up to slay Cthulhu
They've all come to look for A Bright White Void
All come to look for A Bright White Void...
Come on, we're Metaguards
We can win this thing, I know
Don't give up when the end's in sight
Let's have another go
We'll fix the Wall
We've got the strength of Don Quixote
We've got the wits of Sherlock Holmes
And between us we know all the tropes and tricks from all the tomes
Come on, we're Metaguards
We can win this thing, I know
Don't give up now, we're almost there
Let's have another go
We'll fix the Wall
I hear that Morgan's got her magic
Now let's get Cheshire back his grin
Together as a tram there is no way that we won't win
Come on, we're Metaguards
We can win this thing, I know
Don't give up when the end's in sight
Let's have another go
Come on, we're Metaguards
And with elephants comes next
Whoever goes to fight won't go to fight alone.
We're all behind you and Cthulhu's gonna pay
And rest assured, we'll bring you back here, come what may.
There's just no way
That we can win,
It is an epic beast.
It breaks the wall because it's just too powerful.
Listen, all of you!
It's gonna break reality!
It's gonna wipe out history!
Unless we break this massive monster into pieces!
Metaguards.
We've been through so much shit.
Reficked lots of characters, with our wit!
Now it's time to take Cthulhu dowwwwwn!
C'mon guys, now it's time to blow doors down!
I hear you friends, now it's time to blow doors down!
Light up the wall, cause it's time for a showdown!
We'll beat him back now and then send him downtown!
Now it's time to blow Cthulhu down!
(He's gonna kill us if we do not blow doors down!)
C'mon guys now it's time to blow doors down!
WE'RE READY! It's time for a smackdown!
Hey you monster! Cthulhu-boss!
We know your weakness! Our rockin' sauce!
We'll save the wall now, and blow your mind!
We will defeat you! For all mankind!
You destroy sanity?
We're all insane!
You are Cthulhu?
We're Metaguards! (x17)
