Oh yes, now we have to deal with Moriarty and the Phantom of the Opera:a crazed dangerous supergenius and a mentally scarred lunatic with even less appropriate ideas about romantic behaviour than Edward from Twilight. Clearly we're the winners here.

I'm sorry I know it was me who said sarcasm in the lowest form of wit besides puns.

So, the Cat has tweeted a HuffPo link (and the image of the cat in the article is staring to my soul, I'm a little frightened). Probably a coincidence, but I just find it suspicious that he'd tweet about something unrelated to all this. Any thoughts, or am I reading into this too much?

Pretty sure it's just for lulz, because they can't very well fabricate a Huffington Post article, and it didn't mention polydactyly.
But don't worry. You haven't NEARLY reached the heights (or depths) of reading too much into something that can sometimes go on here. Trust me. Nobody bring up my Cake guy obsession. Ever again.

Probably a detail for realism.

Don't worry, already aware of it, having lurked for a little while.

...I don't suppose you are by any chance British and familiar with the cravendale 'Cats with Thumbs' video?

Wait wait wait a minute. In the shard that we suspect is him, Metaneko's ginger. Maybe it does mean something? Maybe we should find him?

In his tweet with the HuffPo link, he states the following: "Good thing I am a ginger cat, I suppose. Rise up, my breathren! Show the humans how FRIENDLY you are! :D :D :D"

We have confirmation he's ginger. It could very well be him in the shard!

i think that it was implied. Or at least that someone had pointed that out already. If not, good work.

You're probably right, though I haven't combed through everything yet :P Still, it's pretty much definite now that Metaneko is in at least one shard.

I consider this a victory for my first hour on the forum.

It was outright stated by Metaneko the moment the shard pictures were posted guys. :| Good deductions, though.
Normal people are the easiest to manipulate. Too smart and they have an annoying tendency to catch wind of your plans, too dumb and, in the words of a certain pirate, "You can never tell when they are about to do something incredibly...stupid."

Metaneko is awake, and seems to be interested in the locator.

He also may or may not have appeared in the chatroom and dropped a cat smile right after that tweet.

Well, the cat's mentioned the locator, which means it's obviously normal and above board...

That just means it's relevant to the game. Whether it's above board...
Metaneko's been known to be involved in all sorts of madness-- for one thing, trolling a certain secure chat group. (For another, possibly trolling a certain less-secure chat group.)
Just because he mentioned it does NOT mean we can trust it.
