Hum... It's still way too much out of character for Cheshire to be this literal... But maybe it's worth a passing glance or something...

I've already checked them. There's nothing in the background of any of them.

Well does he mean that there are four characters that we haven't seen yet, or the four characters from Joe's videos that we haven't made contact with yet. As there is still that man in the suit holding the umbrella (The Invisible Man?), the man running through the forest (Peter Pan?), the mermaid (Ariel? I can't think of any other well known mermaids) and Cinderella. Yet if their not the ones on the videos then we have no real idea who they could be.

Could Tara be the sculpture that Pygmalion made?

I have another theory: The 5th message in the answering machine mentions sculpting...

Not to change the topic, but that creepy post the cat made about Four in the shadows... four horsemen?
Just a thought.

Good thought. I'm worried now

WAIT, the PM wouldn't do that, some religious stuff like that would be too polemic.

Maybe if we're talking about a piece of media with them in it but in the Bible none of them were associated with shadows. Hell for that matter in the Bible they were more of a metaphor

Yes but the four horsemen are quite a universal staple now, understood OUTSIDE of religion, since they've been used in so many texts... maybe they're an exception?

Frankly I think that makes them MORE likely to be here, metaphors being a storytelling technique, and all.

I don't really think it's the Horsemen. Though they might be the Endgame we must prevent.
Now, Cinderella is not in the dark as we know she is here. Just not how to contact her. Same with the Plague Doctors, the Puppets, the guy in the Wedding and the Mermaid. And the fairies chasing the guy in the park (please, let it be fairies!). Which already make more than 4.
So, I don't think he's pointing to any of the video characters.
Also, about Tara. He was not reffering to her. I asked.

I am still convinced that Cheshire's story of Pygmalion had to do with the 5th message on Joan's answering machine.
The only words about the 5th message that could be a clue (in my eyes) are the words "As though sculpted". Just a little while later, Cheshire begins tweeting about Pygmalion, a sculptor from ancient Greece.
I am really curious about what you guys think, but so far I have not had good criticism

I think it's a good idea, but I'm not sure what it implies. Pygmalion himself isn't an evil character, so it isn't his voice.

But if he is in the real world, he's in a completely different situation. Maybe he is desperate to do whatever it takes to get back to his own world?

Oh, um, so I was wondering something. I asked the kitty, "Mr. Cat, may I ask you a question? Are you from the original novel, a sequel, and animated film, or the recent film?" I was hoping to better nail down the date he is from. His response puzzles me. "Do you truly believe a cat would let himself be confined?" Any help?

Do you mean to say you expected a straight answer?

Seconding Goldude - he's not from any particular adaption, he's just the Cheshire Cat. Not Burton!Cat, not Carroll!Cat, just Cat.

So does that mean there isn't separate Cheshire Cats? That they're one entity that can move from story to story at will? That would make sense, considering he's probably the most consistent of those characters. I'm guessing the one from the Care Bares movie isn't him though.

When I can't make heads or tails of a question, I merely make heads and tails vanish. It all becomes clear then.
I can't make heads or tails of this tweet.
