Okay, I'm looking at initials. Could Seraphim equate to Steinitz, and Azazel represent Angelus?

I don't think so. Angelus is a christian term while the riddle refers to things from Judaism.

Does that neccesarily make a difference though? Wouldn't be the first time religion had gotten mixed up by fiction...

Apparantly this is where the phrase 'scapegoat' cokes from... a goat was sacrificed... I dunno, T Azazel, I guess, who was apparantly some really wicked angel, probably fallen.

The devil condemnted by the actions of others as a 'scapegoat'? Maybe it IS referring to a Cabal member...

My first thought. Perhaps, it's about their personalities and relation in between the members of the Cabal.

Well in Christianity the Seraphim fly around God's throne singing. I don't know what they do in Jewish tradition
Also this might help: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Repentance_in_Judaism

Also possibly important: "Seraphim" literally means "burning ones".

Flip, how did you work THAT out?

Seraphim have one thought: help Azazel "teshuva" condemnation.
...Help Azazel return condemnation, or redeem hismelf from condemnation. What DOES that mean?

The first letters were SHOT HATC, so I thought they were an anagram, but it was the last letters of each word that spelled out "meetplan"

Sorry, once I saw it was nonsense, I starting looking for sense out of the chaos. :P Plus I figured it had to do with Pheeble, since that's the theme tonight (apparently).

Well according to wikipedia (unfailing source of info that could never be wrong, I digress) one of the possible other meanings is to teach others not to commit the same sin, I don't know why but that caught my eye.
